How often do you find yourself specifically searching for a random old thread (not necessarily in order to bump it) just to read it like a good book? Do you find it amusing and also, when you come across old posts of yours in the thread, is it odd reading it back?

I do this from time to time, I'll literally just remember a thread suddenly and maybe recall certain posts in there that were interesting or insightful and it makes me want to read it again (I did this with the 'do you believe in god?' thread today). I also think reading threads this way gives a sense of neutrality to what you're reading cos you and other posters are probably no longer in the state of mind that they were in when writing those posts.

I read old threads quite a bit - especially from when I was new to the site to see how I acted back then. I also like reading posts from before I joined to see what's changed etc.

I'm kind of put off reading threads that are more than a couple of years old because I cringe too much at my old posts laugh.gif

I re-read old Lounge and BJSC threads so often! It is usually during nocturnal hours when the site is really quiet and there's nothing to really contribute to, but I'm still in a Buzzjack mood laugh.gif For The Lounge it is often happy memories such as old Awards threads that feel like a celebration or old plug.dj threads, then for BJSC it'll be a final results thread when I came top 10 or something. I occasionally do it with old Sunday/Friday Chart Show threads as well if I don't have anything better to do. I love learning about the history of the site too so if I'm bored I'll sometimes click on a random page of The Lounge and look for something interesting, it's fascinating to see how interactions with each other on here have changed over time.

Yes, sometimes.
Mostly I like watching your old personal charts, especially in "Countdowns & End of Year Charts" part of forum.

No, only if people link to them in a thread.

Is it because they remind you of... the good old days basil.gif

Yes, but also I tried to use your charts as good source of the modern music from last 10 years. smile.gif
