For me, the main one would be Band Aid (the original).

However worthy the cause, the song itself has never appealed to me.

Mistletoe and wine

Same thing here, a song that has matured like a stale Stilton.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.

Such a dull song, in any version but especially Sam Smith's (which thankfully hasn't become the definitive version as such though it is the most streamed version on Christmas)

(also agreed about Santa Baby, Eartha Kitt's version is so much better)

There's no need for Mariah every single year

And as bad as I feel saying it after last year, I've always found "Last Christmas" rather dreary and not for me..

It is dreary and boring. People are jumping on the bandwagon as he died, that's all.

People weren't here for him in the lat years of his career - remember the Freak song he did?? I was here for some of those even when he was desperately uncool and savaged by critics. It feels not v genuine therefore for the same to suddenly fawn over him and petend his dreary Cmas song is some sort of classic.

Another Rock And Roll Christmas.

Although that one has (rightfully) fallen out of perennial rotation. I have only passively heard it once in the past 20 years.

Wonderful Christmastime is the one for me - it's such a dull, uninspiring song.

"Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" by John Lennon & Yoko Ono's Plastic Band. Yoko Ono and her kids make it sound like a bag of cats are being thrown against the wall.

I've posted words to that effect at least 5 times this month laugh.gif

To be fair, Kylie did say herself in the early stages of her career that she "wouldn't change a thing". She's a woman of her word. cool.gif

So explain why it consistently returned to the upper reaches of the chart every Christmas before his death?

Exactly. So shut your disgusting mouth.

Soo you think buying songs like sheep because someone died is the only way to go on? Riiiight.

I'll stick to continuing on as normal. I was listening to his songs when it seemed everyone abandoned him in early 00s, so you shut your insincere mouth.
