Thought I'd post this as Buzzjack's newest adult wink.gif wacko.gif So what did everyone do the day they turned 18? (for the people who are 18)

My birthday wasn't the most exciting but I was doing things I enjoyed, went to the Piece Hall (a new shopping centre) in Halifax then went round a stately home & park, before going to Aakash (the world's biggest Indian restaurant ohmy.gif ) avec la famille for a meal. It involved absolutely no alcohol whatsoever but I am drinking a cup of mulled wine right now tongue.gif

Everyone else?

Went for a meal at Za Za Bazaar which is this amazing massive all you can eat place, for food and cocktails, I remember vividly being so excited to buy my first legal drink, had my ID out all ready to be like "yep I'm 18" and never even got ID'd laugh.gif

Voted in the 2005 general election in the morning, on the first possible day I was eligible to vote (!) and then saw Girls Aloud live in the evening. Such a good day <3

Omg, had a massive party. I was one of the oldest in the year so it was the first big social event of the year. ‘Twas 2006 which was an amazing year for music. Scissor Sisters were
No.1. Such good times.

Absolutely nothing really. Just had my birthday with my family like a normal day. But then I didn't socialise much outside with the rest of my sixth form in a school environment back then!

Za Za Bazaar is such a classic laugh.gif wub.gif I never learn though and always end up with no room for dessert cry.gif

I had a really chill 18th too, went to the zoo with my family and a nice meal in the evening. It was super nice though because I can’t remember the last time my parents came together to do something like that for me.

I actually didn’t go for a proper night out until about a month later to celebrate getting into uni on results day. It was super fun though because everyone was in such high spirits wub.gif

Good & bad in equal measures.

I had 5 hours of exams in the day separated by confinement due to a clash. On the flip side it was my very last day of school so the party that night was quite something...

I think I went to Frankie and Bennys with my family and met up with my friends to see a film lol, I really didn't socialise much at all so it was fine. My 19th was farrr more memorable what with first year of uni, I would advise anyone to never try firewater, especially five shots of it...

I turned 18 back in 2015 and spent the day eating at The Mandarin (my favourite Chinese restaurant) as I decided a few years prior that I wanted this to become a birthday tradition for me! I did go clubbing for the first time a few days after my 18th however with friends until about 5am! My highlight was going to a gay club as the music there was the best. Lots of noughties classics that night *.*

I assume it is a form of extremely strong liqueur that it is so strong it is just at legal percentages of alcohol in a drink?

I also assume it is clear coloured and looks like water and has a strong fiery taste.

I’m not 18 yet but I plan to go to some sort of Big Brother live show for my 18th! My birthday is in June though so I’m unsure if I can do that, seeing as civilian Big Brother has been postponed till August.

If I can not do that then I wouldn’t mind just going out for dinner.

I honestly can't remember! laugh.gif I turned 18 on 23rd Feb 2006. I know I didn't do anything major for it (otherwise I would remember)... maybe I met up with a couple of friends for a meal/cinema.

I've never really been one to have massive birthday celebrations. I'm 30 in a couple of months though, maybe I should make the effort to do something memorable for it.

Happy birthday Pete! Didn't realise you weren't already 18.

Not to brag but I spent my 18th birthday visiting New York!

It may be more of a thing in Spain than here (it was a Spanish restaurant I was at), but yeah a very, very strong shot that I certainly wouldn't recommend unless you're really going for it!
