I try to wear pairs of socks but I'm not going to self-destruct if I have to make do one day... it does make me feel a little uncomfortable though...

I'm like you Bre most of my socks are black - but they're from all sorts of places, some are a little longer than others, some are a little stretchier than others - I like both of my feet and ankles and lower-calves to feel a similar level of comfort. I bet I sound mad laugh.gif

It's not that I refuse to wear odd socks, it just never rly occurred to me lol. I've done it by accident before.

I find most of my socks really aesthetically pleasing, I rarely wear black socks too for some reason

I only wear if I have no other option, like, if they are black socks with a different coloured tor / heel then I will do it since you don't really see them

Would wear odd socks if there was no other option.

Oh well done Lenny on your first thread on the Lounge. Coming for the Lounge recognition awards this month maybe....

Too lazy to arrange them perfectly but must always be worn in pairs? tongue.gif I enjoy the green ones and the ones in the Estonian flag colours! Actually looking at these has made me tempted to make 'getting some more interesting socks' one of my 2018 goals...

Thank you, it took all of my brainpower to think up such a riveting topic for discussion and the findings are remarkable. I'd be shocked if this didn't go on to win thread of the decade, let alone year or month.

If they're part of the same set but slightly different (so bought together in a pack but with slight variation in pattern/ colour) I don't care so much. I actually quite like having the matching but not quite matching thing going on and it's not really noticeable unless you look closely. That said, if they're completely different I don't like it. I wouldn't wear a white and black sock for example.

I voted "if I have no other option" because in practice I do gravitate towards pairs if they're available.

I don't mind having odd socks on I mean having matching pairs are more pleasing and what not but I wouldn't go out of my way to find a matching pair.

No Bré, nooooooooo! Entirely black or white socks are okay for school but no later in life!

In answer to the question, I primarily wear matching socks - although I do buy individual pairs that are deliberately different as I like the fact the colours tend to match but there are little details that are different. happy.gif

I also have a habit of matching my socks to whatever t-shirt/jumper/shirt I am wearing that day. This is possibly a step too far but I can't help it!

I don't really go out of my way to wear or avoid them. I live in Florida, so I mostly wear sandals and those you pretty much avoid wearing socks with at all costs. So if I do wear socks, it's usually for work or a more formal setting. In those cases, I'll just stick to plain or almost-plain black ones since those are more fitting/required. If I'm just wearing them around the house because my feet are cold or whatever, I'll just grab whatever's warmest regardless of design.

I primarily do wear odd socks because I'm ~quirky lazy in this regard. It's not really any big deal especially if you're wearing shoes, I don't look at other people's feet.

I've got loads of Happy Socks now and they are most certainly very ODD and colourful socks indeed, but I wouldn't really ever wear odd (as in different) socks. For those who say 'nobody looks at people's socks' well I've got news for you.. I got a COMPLIMENT the other day on my colourful socks. tongue.gif

I am the same as Cameron! I would only wear odd socks if they're predominantly one colour and just have different colours in places that are hidden by your shoes. I sadly don't think I would be able to pull off the odd socks look.
