Here's mine:

John Tyler, America’s tenth president, was born in 1790. He has two living grandchildren.

What, no?! Clickbait surely?

No, it's true. He was 63 when his son Lyon was born, and Lyon was 71 when the first of his current living sons was born, both born in the 1920's.

So, they can claim their dad was a child during the American Civil War and over 60 when the Great War started, and their grandfather was born in the 18th century.

I wonder if there are any other less famous families that can beat that...!

There are 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 (or 43 quintillion, 252 quadrillion, 3 trillion, 274 billion, 489 million, and 856 thousand) different combinations to solve a Rubix cube.

Also

As of 2017, approximately 89.7 million domesticated dogs are currently living in the USA. By comparison, the total human population of Australia AND the United Kingdom combined is roughly only 89.5 million.

Yet no matter how long you scramble it for, any cube can be solved in a maximum of 20 turns!

Here is the (robot) world record - blink & you'll miss it!

And there are approximately 10^120, that is
1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,
000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,
000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
possible games of chess. There is even a Wikipedia article about this.

For context, there are less atoms in the observable universe than possible games of chess.

That's kind of underselling it. There are also fewer atoms in 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 copies of the observable universe than possible games of chess.

I always like the one where Egypt under Cleopatra was closer in time to us than the building of the Great Pyramids.

But that's a bit overdone so I'll give you another one - mammoths still existed when the Pyramids were being built. Albeit small ones, on an island half a world away off the coast of Siberia, but still... mammoths.

Basically Ancient Egypt is an incredible civilisation, no other civilisation bar China (depending on how you count dynastic changes) has lasted quite that long.

That one has a major flaw - it isn't true.

Another commonly cited one but still amazing

If the history of the universe were placed on a calendar year, humans would only exist starting around 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31 (or more precisely, 21 seconds before midnight).

I've a feeling it may have been on QI, but it has definitely been thoroughly debunked.

current estimates of the number of stars in the observable universe varies, but one is 70 billion trillion. It's probably bigger than that but the light from some of them hasnt reached us yet.

The late great Carl Sagan said famously that there are more stars than there are grains of sand on all the beaches in the world. This, apparently, is mathematically correct as far as we know based on estimates of stars - sand grains is more precise.

In the last 20 years we have discovered that most stars appear to have planets, and we have just confirmed the first solar system with 8 (same as ours). Given that most of them will be too small, or angles of orbit around the sun too awkward to spot them (not crossing the sun), it's a fair assumption that the number of worlds in the universe is probably 10 times bigger than the number of stars.

If life exists on only one that's one hell of a one-off.....
