Something that I was reminded of yesterday when I came home from the shop with a bar of delicious dark chocolate was that not everyone actually likes dark chocolate laugh.gif I was met with “ew”’s and “yuck why are you eating that” when all I wanted to do was sit and munch on my slightly sweet bar of chocolate.

I like the bitter taste because, whilst I do love some milk chcoolate, it can often taste too sweet and makes me feel sick after too much at once. I find that dark chocolate goes down a lot lighter for me, and is complimented REALLY nicely when you get bars that have pecans or other types of nuts mixed in with it wub.gif

Anyway enough gushing, I just wanted to ask: does anyone else here like Dark Chocolate? Do you prefer to to Milk or White (or Red, because that’s a thing apparently)? If you don’t like it, why not?

It's okay but I wouldn't really eat it out of choice or be obsessed with it. I've always been more of a white chocolate person. biggrin.gif

Yesss, dark chocolate is my favorite!! To me it doesn't taste that different to milk chocolate, and supposedly it has minor health benefits too so I never feel guilty when eating it kink.gif

Dark is alright in moderation but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat dark chocolate when milk chocolate is right there. It’s just too bitter.

Dark is ok but it's not my preferred choice. White chocolate is heavenly.

I prefer the other two types of chocolate over dark but I most certainly wouldn't turn it down if I was offered some tongue.gif

I go about as dark as Bournville, although any darker and it starts to get too bitter for me.

It really depends on the %. Anything over 85% is a bit much for me, but a nice 70/75% is lovely.

It’s amazing. You switch to dark choc at the same time you switch to red wine.
