04. Not always getting ID'd, I do a lot of places still and to be fair when I don't often the people serving know me, and I think having a beard plays a role too but it is strange when people just let you buy alcohol without asking.

It's so weird when I serve people younger than me, especially if it's early 2000.

Being called 'young man' and actually being flattered/shocked by that comment.

Discussing Harry Hill's TV Burp at work and someone saying 'oh yeah I watched that when I was at school'.. Argh!

Being the only person you know (apart from on BuzzJack) who still uses an iPod.

Not knowing what the hell SnapChat is or who Kyle Jenner is.

Nobody my age gets my references. My interest in pop culture began at a verrrrrry young age so I sound like I'm in my 30s, not 17 tongue.gif I'm glad I liked it then cause it sucks now... pop culture really did die in 2009 sad.gif

You sound like you'd fit in at my work - we constantly reminisce about the 1990s, the best era for dance, pop and rock music!

I'm sure I would! People in my year haven't even heard of Janet Jackson, Paris Hilton, Nicole Kidman, Shania Twain, Drew Barrymore, and, in one case, wait for it... Christina Aguilera blink.gif I'm constantly amazed at the most basic pop culture general knowledge they don't know, I grew up wanting to be those people tongue.gif

Oh this type of thing is the worst. I found myself sat in Cumbernauld train station the other week and a teenage boy called me Sir! I felt sooooooo old!
