Spotify for my streaming and iTunes for downloading tracks.

I have gradually moved away from iTunes to Spotify! I still have a big iTunes library due to using my iPod, but I haven't downloaded any songs from there since last summer. I still have an iTunes voucher sitting around actually, oops, better spend that at some point. Whereas I listen to music on Spotify daily as everything is on there (well, not quite, but most songs you can think of) for free and I enjoy listening to playlists on there that are recommended for me. So... both, but predominantly Spotify.

I used to use iTunes/apple Music on my phone when I had an iPhone but I've got a OnePlus now and its really laggy to use Apple Music on Android so migrated to Spotify (I used it before Apple Music launched too) which is much easier and smoother. I always stream now, obv it's annoying when a song isn't on Spotify but I've got any songs lie that as local files which is fine, only annoying thing is not being able to put them in playlist. But streaming is much easier and cheaper imo, with the amount I listen to and new music I consume it's much cheaper to just subscribe for £5 than it is to download every single one and I love the social and curative side as it makes it easy to discover new songs or remember old hits you forgot and stuff like that.

My iTunes usage has dwindled considerably but I still use it more than Spotify. Nothing against Spotify but if I want to hear a song that's not in my iTunes library I'll go to Youtube or Soundcloud before I go to Spotify. I tend to be a few years behind with these things kink.gif

I use iTunes/Apple Music rather than Spotify. It’s got a large library and it seamlessly merged with the library of tracks I actually own which is fab for playlists.

Same. I can't really ever see myself going to Spotify over YouTube (apart from for songs that aren't on YT of course).

I use both on a daily basis so I've picked both. Spotify works brilliantly on my phone for journeys to and from work, then at home I'll prefer to use my iTunes library.

Youtube is fine for watching the odd video but it feels very impractical. I don't get how people can prefer it. You can't just click on an album and you can't really listen to it easily on the go.

I don't really listen to albums very often and I never listen to music 'on the go' so that's probably why lol. (Whenever I do want to listen to an album I will download it on iTunes and listen there)

I do use Spotify for a couple of playlists but I don't really like the interface that much tbh (maybe I'd get used to it if I used it more)

I used to be so anti Spotify but I am a stan now laugh.gif So easy to use, I love the social side of it and tbh most of the songs I want are on it. I think I've only had a problem with some obscure songs not being on there but it doesn't bother me too much.

Both really.

The bugbear about Spotify is sometimes their tags are a complete mess which isn't great for my Last.fm scrobbling OCD.

Both, I use Spotify 95% of the time but every weekend I download any songs that aren't on Spotify, or rip any albums I've bought onto iTunes so I can save them on my iPod. Lots of compilations and Eurovision oddities never make it onto Spotify so I mostly use iTunes for those.

Both.

I do most of my listening on spotify these days though. It used to be more 75-25 to itunes, then moved to 50-50, and now has gone the other way. I have a big itunes library of stuff I own and tend to buy songs that really catch me, but listen to a much wider range of music on spotify day to day.

The interface is dodgy I agree but at least it's better than Apple Music's which is a total mess.

iTunes is irritating to use at times. Like when you're in Apple Music or iTunes Store and you alt+tab into the page and start typing, it starts opening menus because it ghosts the 'alt' button as pressed, meaning if you type certain letters it does all sorts from the menus - I've had it sign me out numerous times because of it which is really annoying. But the library on there is still much better than Spotify's - though I like that on Spotify, much more singles have their own dedicated singles pages.
