This is a new mockumentary made for BBC NI, which is set in a post-Brexit Ireland where there is a border between Northern Ireland & the ROI, and deals with the rag-tag group of individuals who patrol the border. Local comedy can be hit or miss, but this one could be rather interesting. Plus on a personal note, one of my former colleagues from Queen's Radio is one of the stars. There's a short clip from the first episode that gives a taste of what to expect.

I wonder if they will at least make it available on iPlayer. Otherwise we might have to wait for an English version based on the border between Camden and Westminster.

They usually make the BBC NI comedies available across the entire UK on iPlayer. Give My Head Peace on there at the moment (although it's been quite disappointing this series).

Has this been any good? It is available on iPlayer so I want to know if it's worth seeing.

I thought it was terrible but mainly because it's very Irish and it embarrasses me a lot!

It's not as funny as I would like it to be - it appears a lot of it is quasi-improvised ie they're given the scenario then act things out as they go along, but unfortunately none of the performers are really funny enough to keep it going. However, some of the satirical ridiculousness in the scenarios are quite on the nose, and bizarrely plausible.

I like what it takes the piss out of in the extent the border itself and Brexit!
