It's Mother's Day! Are you spending it with your mum today? Are you a mother yourself?

Taking mine to the garden centre then we're having a roast dinner.

I’m going to see my mum with many presents. Got a ton of marking tho so not sure I’ll be able to spend the entire day there which is annoying.

Happy Mother's Day to any mothers on the site (Are there any? ?)

My Mum lives quite far away and she's actually visiting her own mother in Kent this weekend so I won't get to see her sadly, but I have sent her a card and some chocolates and will probably call her this afternoon.

I like the idea of cooking a roast for the family- I have done that in the past, unfortunately my chocolate melt-in-the-middle puddings for dessert flopped but it's the thought that counts!

I got my mum an eco coffee mug and chocolates (*crowd jeers*), she also wants me to cook her dinner tonight so I hope I can find something she'll like in time mellow.gif My mum's birthday is always just a few weeks away so I often save her main present for then.

I got my mum perfume and chocolate (her birthday is Wednesday - you better remember that Lindsey...- so I didn't get her a massive mothers day gift) and have just made her and my dad a fry-up. Not sure what we're doing for dinner tonight but I will probably buy her a chinese or something.

I'm a fair few miles down the road from my mum but I've sent the card and stuff and then texted this morning. Will phone later too. Sorted out a ticket for her to come down to the FA Cup quarters next weekend as my gift.

There's a 454g (1lb) box in Tesco, £7, but hoping they'll reduce them after today as they had a lot so if they were £3.50 I may treat myself! Pointed them out to daughter but she said it's not Father's Day. biggrin.gif

My mother's birthday is also close to Mother's Day, so my brother and I do a combined meal out. With our shift patterns, we don't always get to see each other so we celebrate when we can.

You've only got three months to wait tongue.gif

We've shared the chocolates round the table twice already and there's only about 5 left laugh.gif

I am quite happy to not be a mother for the foreseeable future kink.gif

My parents were away for the weekend so I have only just given my mum her card and present, the latter was a £25 gift voucher for afternoon tea. She was pretty chuffed with that, yay! Going out to The Harvester for dinner at 7pm to celebrate also, very much looking forward to that.
