I'm talking about the kind you have when asleep here, rather than the aspirational type.

How do you feel about people describing their dreams to you?

In my case, they almost invariably make me feel very uncomfortable - to me, they are very personal, and not to be shared.

I've never heard of anyone feeling uncomfortable about other people sharing their dreams but then what do I know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think the personal is the global and I'd much rather have someone sharing parts of themselves and expressing themselves than not.

Did someone go into a spiel about an incredibly interesting dream they had which turned out to be very boring for you, Vid?

I'll entertain them, it has great potential lead to an interesting conversation about random stuff which doesn't matter, my favourite kind of small talk.

I love hearing about anyone's dreams (obvs providing they're comfortable sharing it)! It's an insight into that person's mind, although I can never remember mine as they're just so random (one I had the other night featured The Powerpuff Girls and Doctor Who for some reason mellow.gif)

If there's one thing in the world that would make me clutch my pearls and say "not in front of the children, dear" - it's that.

Depends what they were. Doesn't really bother me. If they were comfortable to share them with me, yes I'd be happy to listen.

I misread this thread title as other people's DRAMAS which I generally am interested in!

Dreams, it can be hard to know what to say! But generally you can take an interest, who doesn't like a good crazy story!

Like Mattias, I do not think I have ever encountered someone feeling uncomfortable about other people's dreams before! Each to their own, but I find it fascinating to learn about the contents of somebody's dreams, providing that they are comfortable with sharing. My favourite Psychology AS Level lesson occurred when we had a class discussion about unorthodox dreams... someone had even dreamt of vaseline the night before, as you do laugh.gif
