Have you ever bought something online that you would have been too shy/embarrassed to purchase face to face? tongue.gif

It happened at the drug store and that was probably the most embarrassing purchase laugh.gif

I wish I'd had the option of downloading some of the singles I had to buy on vinyl in the 80's. tongue.gif

Bottle of Parma Violet Gin.

Wait, this is an "embarrassing" purchase thread, not an "absolutely awesome" purchase. My mistake.

I agree! My mum was judgemental about it though sleep.gif

~~~
When I was about 10 I bought a fake £20 bank note with the faces of 3rd place X Factor 2007 group Same Difference's faces on it from eBay... laugh.gif I had a very obsessive personality (and still do to some extent) so I went mad with merchandise for my childhood faves :') I just think WHY now at such a purchase but I thought it was so cool at the time. I guess I kinda had to buy that off the Internet though as it wasn't exactly something I could've casually found in Woolies.
It's too easy to purchase embarrassing things online that you'd never purchase face to face.
My one f2f experience which stopped me from doing it again for the rest of my life was when I desperately, for some reason, wanted the S Club Juniors album "Together" (I think it was called). I remember hovering around the albums section in Woolworths for about an hour, picking up a 'cool' CD that I didn't already have (probably something like Eminem's latest single) then grabbing the S Club Juniors album and going quickly to the till. I went red. I just really fancied Calvin! He was my first boy crush laugh.gif
I don't think I've ever been embarrassed by a purchase. My social anxiety manifests in other ways but not that. Condoms are indeed a bit awkward but it doesn't really make sense cos it's a normal thing and an STD might be more "embarrassing". I choose not to use the self-service checkouts ever as I don't trust / like them. I will only go to one if someone I'm with is paying for their items there and I don't have any - if I have items of my own, I will go as far as splitting up with the person to go use a ~human contact~ one.
I must say I was a little annoyed with myself that time I wanted to buy my first power bank for my mobile phone but ended up buying a car phone charger huh.gif I'm... not sure how that happened. I gave it to my mum as I don't drive.
