I just had a vegan tea by accident and figure maybe I will try and cook more vegan things for myself this year, I normally only have it out at restaurants. So tonight I had salad with roasted cauliflower and tomato, and houmous and couscous, and avocado - actually really nice together.

Roasted veggies with BBQ sauce is another of my faves.

Anyone else any they like? Whether it's something you'd have out or cook for yourself wink.gif

We once made vegan turkey w/ stuffing (bought from the store) and it was SO GOOD. Tasted just like real turkey it was ridiculous.

I like falafel, and have tried falafel wraps which are delicious! Apparently you can get falafel burgers but I have never tried them ohmy.gif

I find the idea of Quorn style fish fingers so utterly bizarre! And this is coming from someone who eats a lot of Quorn. The only Quorn (or other meat substitute) I've ever hated is their bacon. They were like insoles from your shoes. Seriously. Gross.

I'm regularly making vegan meals actually such as curries and stews. I use a lot of chickpeas in things like this, and sometimes other beans such as kidney beans and canellini (sp?) beans. I am a pescetarian myself so also enjoy a lot of fish but there is a hell of a lot of great meat-free stuff out there.

Lidl do their own fantastic version of the sunbite crisps which are by Walkers. I'll happily sit and eat six packets in one sitting, so, so good wub.gif

I'll have to check those out - although I'm cutting back on crisps a bit right now, those sound like a decent cheat!

Yeah a difficulty with me is I actually don't like chickpeas at all, the consistency of them is just so offputting ohmy.gif so I can only have them in hummus etc
