Dropped the pc that my daughter gave me in Feb, Acer all-in-one, and on-off button broke. Had it repaired but now can't access anything, even Google , as it says the time is behind, 2010. Said that when she gave me it too and she corrected it. Now asking for password in order to change time settings and I don't know it. She still didn't tell me it or change it to one of my choice. Says "Rachel" and then enter password. How can I bypass that please? Must be a way. I need the net for some banking and look up addresses etc.

In internet cafe nearby posting this.

You can't bypass something that requires a password, if that was the case then everyone would be hacking each other laugh.gif

(you could try and factory reset the device??)

Aside from sending it back to the manufacturer for them to factory reset, there really isn't a way to bypass a password. They're there for protection not to be an inconvenience ;o

I'm not familiar with the model, but a lot come with a CD to do just that.

Otherwise you could take it to the repair shop and they could do it

All fixed! One of Rachel's friends did it by unplugging at the mains and then a black screen comes up and you can reset everything including date, time etc. So pleased she did it for me. She said you don't need to do factory reset.
