Just drove past a sports centre in Bristol today which was engulfed in flames. ohmy.gif Emergency services were there desperately trying to put the fire out. So far the cause and number of those injured in not known. I imagine it will be in the local news shortly though.

It got me to wonder if there are any within this community who have ever been in a fire before and if you had any stories to tell. If so, how were you able to find your way out safely? Also, have you ever caused an accidental fire at any time in your life?

Not the most pleasant of subjects to be discussing I know, but if there are fire survivors here I would like to hear from you.

I see what u did there tongue.gif

I've never been in a fire thankfully but I've had to call for the fire department once. I was walking around town and there was a wall that had like long grass and old rubbish behind it and I saw big flames from behind the wall (no one seemed to be there burning rubbish or anything). So I rang, they showed up and I carried on with my daily life.

Also, my old home had oil heating and a little thing kept in the yard for it (not talking about the tank) which had gone on fire once and there were huge flames coming from it. I was freaking out and was about to call the number again but when I turned the heating off, the flames stopped too. huh.gif We got that thing replaced and I carried on with my daily life.

The hotel round the corner from my flat got set on fire a couple of years ago, could smell the smoke from my living room. Luckily nobody was hurt, I think it was when it was up for sale so someone did it to get it cheaper or claim insurance or something like that
