17th June 2018

It's 3 weeks on top for Panic! At The Disco still holding off Pet Shop Boys, who retaliate with 3 more entries from the Actually album, as Deaf Havana seem to have caused a bit of fan-base moaning by making a great pop single. How very dare they! Gorillaz get a 4th top 10, George Benson a 3rd (probably) and London Grammar a third.

Highest new entry is the very passionate Adore Delano at 15, holding off The Beach Boys jiggled up (but inferior) version of Don't Worry Baby, a former chart-topper in the noughties at 20. Blossoms get a first top 20, Peaches enters at 33, her 4th chart appearance since her debut in 2002, Rex Orange County gets a 2nd chart entry by pairing with Randy Newman for his Toy Story charming classic, sweet song, Martin Garrix is back, RuPaul is also back some 25 years on from debuting, and Chainsmokers missed my chart with Paris (it sorta passed me by) but I heard it in a shop on saturday and decided I should have bought at least one version of it - VINAI remix as it happens, who topped my chart with Into The Fire.

Hi John!

After not having heard Send In the Clowns before last week I've now heard it millions of times on that advert laugh.gif I remember it being around a couple of years ago and didn't really take in the music - it is nice though!

Are some of these entries from the Pride spinoff? I couldn't think of an entry to send oops, I Adore You sounds interesting but quite nice and Four Ethers is, well... just interesting tongue.gif

Nice to see Ocean enter as well although I think I'll have to give it a few more listens - Khalid's vocal sounds great but Martin's bit feels so generic sad.gif

Great chart biggrin.gif

Hey there John hi.gif

Ooh, BJSC Pride spinoff takeover here! My favourite of those that is charting here is Deandria's 'Four Ethers', the production on it is absolutely top notch and it's generally very standout and interesting. Aside from Pride, my favourite new entry here is 'Ocean'! Khalid has a lot of promise on dance features.

Great stuff happy.gif

Hi Pete, smile.gif Thanks and yes Send in The Clowns is everywhere at the mo, the track even made the itunes charts this week!

Yes some of them are Pride spinoffs, my entry was Alison Jiear cos Ive seen her twice in a bar in Sitges - where I'll be on wednesday for a minibreak. Four Ethers is very odd and ambitious, though some of the lyrics are disturbing - but it's been knocked out this week too many new ones to hang in there! I agree with the Ocean assessment too biggrin.gif

Hey Jade smile.gif

Yes quite a few Pride's in my chart, Four Ethers is certainly striking! Yes Khalid looks like one to watch, a good voice in a genre dominated by women,

Thanks and cheers!
