Being sufficiently self-aware can mean that you're able to laugh at yourself, take elements of your character / persona and turn them into something that hopefully other people can laugh at. So if you were to go full-on self-parody mode, what form would it take and what would it look like?

I was thinking about this and I think I'd do like a pretentious music video with weird electronica as the track, containing lyrics that are in parts overly psychological, with some random outbursts of emotion, and less than average colour-coordination as my dressing style (although I like my clothes, apparently I'm not good at that, and I tend to agree...sometimes).

There'd be a helluva lot of ironic / self-deprecating self-referential comedy in it I'd say.

It would revolve around me wearing a Creamy Yellow-coloured suit, with a pink shirt, whilst speaking only in Britpop lyrics.

It would probably involve me stanning every dance song in existence... which isn't far from the truth either.

What-ho boys, it's your resident brony weeaboo posh admin who's going to ban you right off the board if you don't immediately admit that Rin Tohsaka and Rainbow Dash are 120% best girls and put them in your avatars and signatures until this site is a nightmarish scroll of dark-haired anime girls and rainbow ponies.

now excuse me while I talk about how artful and wonderful the third episode of the second season of Yahari Ore no Seishun Rabukome wa Machigatteiru was, with regards to its believable character expressions that tell us a great deal about the inner workings of our own lives, the philosophy of Hachiman is comparable to Nietzsche in all honesty and fundamentally seeing this episode (but only after you've seen every other piece of media related to this franchise) is the first priority every human should have on their bucket list, above socialising, good hygiene and exercise.

What's that? Dissent? I have power and you should listen to me. The thing that must be corrected is that far too few people share my quite frankly STRANGE and TRAGIC music taste, I am shocked at the amount of people who don't want to listen to a metal orchestral instrumental or a cringey dance remix of a cutesy song.

Omg on plug the other day someone with a Rainbow Dash username came online and I jokingly said "Hi Iz" and then a few others repeated seriously, not realising that it actually wasn't you laugh.gif brony for life.

Primary to early secondary-school me was one of the strangest things to walk the planet so that would be fairly easy to parody tongue.gif I think nowadays it would probably involve me answering questions with as few a words as possible then going online and writing massive paragraphs on philosophical subjects laugh.gif

I had to Google to see if this was a real anime (just like how you're going to have to Google "Anata wa Kore o Hon'yaku Shimashita ka? Kono Baka" now to see if it is a real anime as well). It's one I've heard of, albeit not written out in its Romaji form.

I only chose it because I'm watching it at the moment (and yeah, I normally call it Oregairu like everyone else tongue.gif) and it does indeed have some fabulous characters, all parody aside. The sort I end up thinking about when daydreaming because their motivations and their actions are that interesting.

I get it. Better hope there aren't light novel authors scouring for titles though.

How I get so angry so easily laugh.gif I'm not though, I'm just passionate and very animated when I am angry. I get like Nikki - my friends find it hilarious though. Idk, I like it about myself.

I can easily make fun of my spelling errors and about my persona. I find it easy to poke fun at myself tbh.
