The set of singles where Kylie returned to form and managed 4 consecutive Top 10 and her first number 1 for over 10 years.
She had failed to achieve this on her 3 previous studio albums. Which of the 4 singles do you like the best? Please vote and leave comments |

Kids steals my vote.
I have always thought it was such an energetic duet as usually her duets that are singles are ballads. I was also confident at the time, this would have went straight to number 1 and was disappointed when it missed out. |

Love all the singles apart from Kids
OANLT and PS are such bops but SA remains a favourite due to it restoring Kylie’s chart glory. |

As a song, Spinning Around, i would regards as one of Kylie's average singles.
That said,it totally restored Kylie’s chart glory and for that i hold it in a higher regard. Please Stay and Spinning Around, are both good, but, i would replace them with Disco Down and possibly Your Disco Needs You as singles. That said, the singles selected worked and all made top 10 status and helped sell the album./ |

I vote for On A Night Like This.
I also love Spinning Around. It's fun to listen to, and to do. I hate Kids, both the song and actual kids. And Robbie Williams. I'd like Please Stay more than I do, if it had remained just an album track. It annoyed me that it became a single over other tracks. Still, one of her best albums, and by that time I didn't think there was gonna another Kylie album I'd love so much. I mean, the previous 3 albums had grown on me, but it had been 10 yrs since (Rhythm of Love) since there had been a Kylie album that I loved immediately. |

On a night like this is my fave here but there are a few album tracks I prefer to all of the singles. The singles are good but some of the album tracks are just so much stronger. With spinning around though, il always appreciate what it did for her career as if it had flopped I'm not sure how things would have worked out. I always remember that alot of people thought girl thing would have beaten her to number 1 and they only made number 8.

Yes, Girl Thing were tipped to rival the Spice Girls, it was a Simon Cowell project.
Girl Thing were heavily promoted with a huge budget and it was widely expected the week before release that they would head straight in at Number 1 so only making number 8 was by many seen as a huge flop. The group only had 1 or 2 more singles after that before they were dropped. I think Kylie entering at number 1 was expected by some and a total shock to others, but there is no denying the video and the hotpants were the key to it doing so well and complexly overshadowed Girl Thing. |

Oh God, Girl Thing! I rather liked their second single at the time, but I was very young.

The 2 CD singles era was great, as you got b sides, remixes and sometimes live songs.
There was also times of 3 releases, where you got the 2 CD singles and a DVD single. The singles from Golden would have sold good on physical formats as her fans love collecting these such releases. |

There were seven songs that week that overshadowed Girl Thing. Quite ironic as they never were a thing |

I was surprised Last One Standing didn't at the least enter the Top 5.
Does anyone know the opening sales for Spinning Around when it entered at number 1? Also did On A Night Like This and Kids miss out on number 1 by much? |
