01. Anton Ewald - Begging

Anton started his Melodifestivalen career as a backup dancer to such acts like Velvet's 'The Queen' and Danny's 'Amazing'. This twink was destined for a Kempe outing and in 2013, they dropped this bop which was also co-written by Anton Malmberg Hård af Segerstad. It was all pretty much downhill for Anton after this, flopping in 2014 and is now nowhere to be seen.

02. Timoteij - Stormande Hav

This barnstorming piece of Swedish electro folk pop is taken from the group's 2012 album 'Tabu', which if you are not already familiar with, you must check out ASAP - WHAT AN ALBUM!

03. Salem Al Fakir - Keep On Walking

OK Sweden, so you didn't want to send 'Kom' in 2010, you had this as a perfectly acceptable back-up. Oh well. Outside of Melodifestivalen, Salem will be most known for his appearance on the Avicii hit 'You Make Me'.

04. Renaida - All The Feels

I really, REALLY hope Renaida is back for 2019, this and 'Loco Notion' are fabulous pop hits. You may also be aware of Renaida's stand-in perf of Poli Genova's 'If Love Was A Crime' during Eurovision 2016. If not, you really should be.

05. Sanna Nielsen - Undo

It took her 7 attempts, but finally the eternal bridesmaid of Melodifestivalen made it all the way back in 2014. Only just mind you, winning by 2 points over Ace Wilder. If you want a massive ballad from Melodifestivalen, they can be no finer example really.

06. Alcazar - Stay The Night

It is a homophobic hate crime that this is not available on UK Spotify, the struggles of the first world gay.

07. Loreen - Statements

ROBIN SODDING BENGTSSON OVER THIS, FUCK YOU SWEDEN

08. Eric Saade - Popular

ELL AND NIKKI OVER THIS, FUCK YOU EUROPE

09. Molly Sandén - Why Am I Crying

The song most famous for appearing in Ja'mie: Private School Girl, prompting 10's of Buzzjack gays to lose their shit over the song appearing on the UK iTunes chart.

10. Ace Wilder - Wild Child

Winner of Melodifestivalen 2017. Winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. Winner of the Barbara Dex Award 2017. These are all facts, make no mistake there.

Molly noooo cry.gif In terms of ballads, I think it’s a lot more powerful and emotional than Undo (but I’d still have Sanna through - it’s Statements I’m side-eyeing)
