what a brilliant #1 we had five years ago in Look Right Through. Shame we'll never get a song like that going to #1 today but at least MK (whose remix was the popular version) is still regularly getting hits.

Missed the top 40 this week?
Professor Green & Rag'n'Bone Man Photographs - Non-Album Single Released: 2nd November 2018 Label: Relentless Records Video Biography Professor Green Professor Green is neither, but he is an MC -- born Stephen Paul Manderson -- who hails from Hackney, London, England. The irreverent storyteller got his start when he competed in a freestyle battle at a Camden bar. He not only emerged victorious, but went on to win several other competitions and was witnessed by Mike Skinner (aka the Streets) at Brixton's B-Boy Championships. Skinner subsequently provided a production to Green, who turned it into "Stereotypical Man" and included it on the 2006 mixtape Lecture #1. Skinner also signed the MC to The Beats, though nothing more than a promotional EP materialized prior to the label's 2007 demise. After self-releasing an EP in 2008, Green was attacked at a London club, stabbed in the neck, and nearly died, but the event did nothing to slow him down. Virgin signed him, and his first two singles with the label, 2010's "I Need You Tonight" (which sampled the INXS song of the same title) and "Just Be Good to Green" (which featured Lily Allen and made use of the S.O.S. Band's "Just Be Good to Me" and Beats International's "Dub Be Good to Me") reached the Top Ten of the U.K. singles chart. Alive Till I'm Dead, Green's first proper album, featured both songs and was released in July 2010. A year later his "Read All About It" single appeared along with his sophomore album, At Your Inconvenience. In 2013 he released the single "Are You Getting Enough?" and announced that his album Growing Up in Public would arrive in 2014. - iTunes Rag'n'Bone Man Neo-blues & soul singer Rory Graham was born and raised in the small town of Uckfield in the southeast of England. Growing up on early blues and soul, he taught himself to sing by mimicking Muddy Waters, before discovering hip-hop. Starting out as an MC with a local drum'n'bass crew at age 15, he progressed to hip-hop open-mike nights in nearby Brighton, where he later moved, teaming up with local hip-hop crew the Rum Committee. At the same time, he continued to practice singing in private. At 19, he took part in a blues open-mike night at the encouragement of his father, and the rapturous response to his singing boosted his confidence enough to make him consider it as a career rather than rapping. Graham's Rag 'n' Bone Man moniker came from his childhood memories of sitting in front of the TV with his grandfather, watching repeats of the British '60s sitcom Steptoe and Son, about a pair of rag-and-bone men -- dirt-poor street collectors who in bygone days gathered up rubbish in an attempt to find useful rags, bones, and scrap metal that could be sold to merchants for a few pennies. With his massive bulk, tattoo-covered arms, nose ring, shaved head, enormous beard, and typical garb of hoodie and jeans, Graham looked like an escapee from an early-2000s nu-metal band, but he blew crowds away as soon as he opened his mouth with his deep, powerful, soulful, bluesy vocals. He released his debut EP, Bluestown, in 2012, followed by several EPs over the next few years, with 2014's Wolves and 2015's Disfigured standing out. Graham's early releases were more acoustic, but he evolved toward a more electronic sound with hip-hop-styled beats. In 2013, he signed a publishing deal with Warner Chappell, which enabled him to give up his day job as a caregiver for people with Asperger's syndrome. His increasing profile brought him to the attention of Columbia Records, which signed him in 2016. His debut single for Columbia, "Human," dropped in September of that year and was a big hit in several European countries. His first full-length effort (also entitled Human) saw release in early 2017. That same year, Graham was honored with two Brit Awards for British Breakthrough Act and the Choice Award. - iTunes Top 100 Chart History Professor Green 2010 03 I Need You Tonight (Professor Green feat.
