I can't say I'm particularly into horse racing but a race where 14 horses fail to finish and one has to be put down doesn't seem remotely acceptable.

No it certainly isn't and that has put an damper on today. 9 out of the 18 fell this was a 3m 7f race in soft ground for amateur riders and for novice chasers, first season over chases that to me this is a race that shouldn't happen. There have been changes made but obviously something else needs to be done. They'll have to be questions asked if there are anymore fatalities.

It was a terrific win from him, won it at a canter. I think he has a great chance of becoming the first horse since Red Rum to win back-to-back Grand Nationals

For me, I got Espoir D'Allen at 25/1 back in January yesterday, Itchy Feet 33/1 e/w, Lake View Lad 20/1 e/w, Good Thyne Tara 40/1 e/w.

Retiring jockey Noel Fehily says riding 50-1 shot Eglantine Du Seuil to victory at the Cheltenham Festival on Thursday "seems like the perfect ending".

The 43-year-old Irishman has ridden 1,350 winners over jumps in Britain and Ireland since his first in 1998.

Fehily's biggest victories came in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham, on board Rock On Ruby in 2012 and again with Buveur d'Air in 2017.

"It's a young man's game, you can't go on for ever," he said.

A fifth Cheltenham Gold Cup in a row for me with Al Boum Photo although mixed feelings with what happened to Sir Erec in the Triumph Hurdle and the horrible fall of Invitation Only in the Gold Cup. Also got Anibale Fly at 40/1 back in January each-way.
