Madonna's album is released 14th June. Her main competitor from the new releases that week is Bruce Springsteen. We also know Two Door Cinema Club and Will Young release that week, plus Avicii and Emeli Sande release the week before and could maybe still be selling strong in their second week.
At this early stage, what are your UK chart predictions for Madame X? |

Less than 20k Streaming numbers will be awful, just need to hold out hope that the multiple formats add up to some sort of decent chart placing. |

I'm hoping the multi-formats will push Madonna ahead but I think it's looking likely that Bruce will beat her to #1.
Surprised people think she'll sell under 20k, I'm sure she'll at least clear that. I reckon 28k-29k but hoping she can break 30k. |

Rebel heart did 37k in first week but sales have dropped since then and living for love had more success than medellin to date so would be surprised if it sold 30k.

35K
#2 Is my guess. Lewis Capaldi may also still be ahead but Bruce will definitely be ahead I think. But she does have a huge loyal fanbase and the pre orders will be big for her given her promos already begun. And it won’t do that much less than what Rebel Heart did. I imagine it’ll probably sell around 100,000 in total. This post has been edited by Jordan Lee: 3rd May 2019, 10:08 PM |

I can't see how she'd beat Bruce Springsteen in all honesty.
I think she can do about 28k. |

Will Young has pushed his album back a week now. Wish Bruce would follow his lead.

Number 2 on sales close to 35,000.
I think Bruce Springsteen may narrowly beat her to Number 1. |

I'm pretty sure Bruce Springsteen is gonna wipe the floor with her.
Do Bastille have enough hype around them to also prove a threat this time? I'm thinking perhaps not, but I'm not 100% sure. |

Done some calculations using the first week sales for each artists' last two studio albums to work out what their new albums may debut with:
Bruce Springsteen 74,401 | Wrecking Ball (#1, March 2012) 48,620 | High Hopes (#1, January 2014) down 34.65% 31,800 | Western Stars Madonna 56,335 | MDNA (#1, April 2012) 37,245 | Rebel Heart (#2, March 2015) down 33.89% 24,600 | Madame X Bastille 56,572 | Bad Blood (#1, March 2013) 36,039 | Wild World (#1, September 2016) down 36.3% 23,000 | Doom Days Not perfect by any means. The album market continued to drop between the beginning of 2014 and the end of 2016 and streaming is stronger in the albums than it was in 2016 and my workings don't consider that. |

The album has gone back up to number 5 on the iTunes pre order chart .
Bruce is number 6 on the amazon chart. Madonna is number 32 (deluxe) on the amazon chart. |

Madonna seems to be doing just fine on pre-orders but Bruce has definitely been holding up a lot better. I think it's becoming more and more clear he'll take the #1 with some ease.

She’s ahead of Bruce on iTunes at the moment!
I’m feeling this may be close now. My hunch is still saying #2 but I do think Madonna May be number one in the first midweeks. Tbh though my news feed on Facebook and Twitter all seem to know Madonna is releasing but I’ve seen no hype or anything regarding Bruce. But maybe that’s just who I’m friends with and there’s hype elsewhere where I’m not active. |

She didn’t do the concert bundle like I thought she would.
Regardless of first week sales it will have a huge decrease week 2 probably . |
