Tones and I looks to make it two weeks at #1, while Travis Scott’s new single HIGHEST IN THE ROOM is set for the biggest new arrival. Potential debuts from Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber with 10,000 Hours and Niall Horan’s comeback single Nice To Meet Ya, plus new tracks from Camila Cabello, AJ Tracey and NSG

A wide open race for the album chart #1, could The Beatles stay there for a second week? Dermot Kennedy releases Without Fear following his breakthrough hit Outnumbered, and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds launch their new album Ghosteen on download/streaming only for now. Other new releases include Simple Minds, The Darkness, Summer Walker, Mika, The Sherlocks, Angel Olsen, Wilco and Wildwood Kin.

Breakdown of the week
- Saturday: Some information may be posted on social media but it is likely to be missing most streaming data and is unrepresentative.
- Sunday: Official First Look Chart on Radio 1 from 6-7pm
- Monday: OCC Top 100 from 5:45pm
- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.
- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.
- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)
- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).
- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.
- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored.
- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

Will The Beatles be de-throned in the albums? It's still No.1 on Amazon sales.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds may regret their Album only being available on download this week.
Previous three Studio Albums have peaked 4 -> 3 -> 2 , shame for them if they can't keep sequence going.

I can't really judge Dermot Kennedy's Sales as don't know much about him although the appearance on the Jonathan Ross Show seems timely.
The Beatles will still be challenging but wonder whether Lewis Capaldi may return to #1.

No idea what Dermot will sell, he will do well on streaming as he's a new young artist but the others will do well physically. Have to just wait for the first mids figures, hopefully today!

That is a higher than expected start for Five Star.
Where it will close out the week is anyone's guess.

from the occ fb page:

https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/d...s-chart__27456/

Dermot Kennedy is set to complete his breakthrough journey this week as his debut album Without Fear heads for Number 1 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart.

The Irish singer-songwriter and musician first started releasing music in 2015 following years of busking across Ireland and America. He’s currently enjoying his first big hit single with Outnumbered, which is on course to enter this week’s Official Singles Chart Top 10 for the first time.

The promo is working for Dermot then!

Also cool to see Flying Colors in the top 40 update, I doubt they'll stay there by the end of the week but still I wasn't expecting to see them here!
