The first Winter series filmed in Cape Town is due to start on January 8th, lasting for six weeks! Exciting!
I haven't enjoyed Love Island as much as I probably should recently, but I'm hoping for a bit of a shake up. |

Series 5 was a definite improvement on Series 4 in my opinion.
It was a more enjoyable watch when there wasn’t an obvious winner. But I still think S2 was the best. As the shows got more popular it’s a bit more PC / Tame I’d say. If they're gonna air twice I hope they shake it up somehow but idk that they will. It's a good watch anyway at its core so hype!

Caroline Flack has stepped down as host following her assault charge, rumour is that Laura Whitmore will be her replacement but we'll know very soon I assume as there's less than a month to go *.* |

Laura has been confirmed to host . Tbh I don’t think much people watch this for the host it’s not like the Caroline ever did much on Love Island anyway .

Yeah, I don't think a host is all that necessary for Love Island. The texts basically do a presenter's job for them, so a series without them probably would have been just fine. I guess a series without a presenter working so well would maybe close the door completely for Caroline if they are indeed leaving it open for her to return in the summer though.

Yeah I agree, they don't need a host as much as say I'm A Celeb or Big Brother where they have live vote offs and interviews, the final would be less of an event though for sure. Not a huge Laura Whitmore fan but then I didn't like Caroline, I guess it's the sort of show where not being that fond of the host doesn't matter because you never really see much of them anyway

It looks like its back to the name Love Island, and are the producers the same as BB? Mark, Biannca and Helen from BB15 have all retweeted the auditions post - are they told to by management or could they all be going on the show?

Last year Amber was really unpopular at the start and she ended up winning so the launch show impressions will probably totally turn around after we get to know them all.

Really struggling to enjoy this.. it just doesn't feel the same without it being actual summer or Caroline hosting.
Shame as I think they have got some cast members. |
