He recently also announced a European tour including 2 nights at London's Oslo. I think the fact he is moving on suggests that he won't return for Iceland's Söngvakeppnin next year.

He did say he would NOT take part in Söngvakeppnin in 2021, but wouldn't say no to represent Iceland in Eurovision again if selected by RÚV. Hot Chip though, I squealed.
