...because of the recent rainy weather in the country.

"The controversial decision is based on the undeniable fact that Rihanna’s song Umbrella in 2007 gave us the worst summer weather in living memory."

Not sure if this is real or not but what a troll!

FM104 are banning Lady Gaga's Rain On Me until it stops raining.

There was much debate on FM104’s Strawberry Alarm Clock this morning as listeners suggested their favourite summer songs over the last decade. Lady Gaga’s hit ‘Rain On Me’ featuring Arianna Grande was the clear winner for 2020.

However, it was soon realised that since the song’s release, it hasn’t stopped raining in Dublin!

Following this groundbreaking realisation, Strawberry Alarm Clock hosts Jim-Jim and Nobby immediately declared that the song would be banned on FM104 “until it cleared up a little.”

“We went from BBQ weather to umbrella weather in a matter of days. We miss sitting out the back sunning ourselves with a bag of cans, we miss the BBQs and we miss the good drying!” said Jim-Jim.

Nobby added, “We’ve decided to pull the song from our playlist for a few days to see if it will stop raining. From Thursday morning at 9am until Monday morning at 8am you WON’T hear ‘Rain on Me’ on FM104. If you do hear it, we ask that you Whatsapp, Instagram, tweet or Facebook us to let us know!”

The controversial decision is based on the undeniable fact that Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella’ song in 2007 gave us the worst summer weather in living memory.

Despite this harsh banning measure, the Strawberry Alarm Clock team promises that if it stops raining from Friday (July 10th) until Monday (July 13th) morning listeners will be able to hear the hit song played again just after the 8am news on Monday.

If listeners hear Lady Gaga’s ‘Rain On Me’ any time from today until Monday morning at 8am we urge them to Whatsapp 087 6797104 or DM us on Instagram to let us know that one of our DJs have ignored the ban! ONE lucky listener will win themselves €1,000 at 8.10am on Monday morning for helping us out.

We love the song but we can’t let it jeopardise our summer.
