 51/61 PERSEPHONIA QUOTE  good evening from Persephonia, happy to be here in the BJSC's spiritual home of Aeroche once more and back in the final after missing out last month x Thanks to our hosts for a great contest and here are our votes ~In a development that will surely be shocking to everyone our 18 goes to the gloomy gothic electronic seizure-inducer from Jadakissnia who are really trying to make us look like bloc voters this year more than ever as they rank in our top 4 for the sixth (!) final in a row. It's our 2nd 18 to them this year (following Aphex Twin in BJSC 123) out of 7 in total to date, and their 22nd top 3 finish for us to date overall (also including 8 15s and 7 13s). Aelandor come in a very close 2nd place with their Attenborough-core instrumental claiming 15 points, their 5th medal position finish for us (2 18s, 2 15s and 1 13) and first since we gave 18 to The Midnight in BJSC 110. And in news almost as shocking as Jadakissnia making our top 3, Skall are also up there with another instrumental, one I think I managed to avoid entirely in 2018 somehow but happy to be introduced to it now as it claims our 13 points. This is their 11th time finishing in our medal positions (comprising 2 golds, 5 silvers and 4 bronzes), the first since last picking up 13 points with Animal Collective also in BJSC 110 although as ever we have to acknowledge they'd probably have many more points from us if so many of their best entries didn't keep being voted out in the semi-finals. xx Beyond the top 3, 10 points to Wholune for their semi The Prodigy esque entry marks the second highest points we've given them to date (behind the 12 for The Band CAMINO in BJSC 119), Cor Lupus pick up 3 points to notch their first appearance in our votes for exactly a year (last getting 2 points for Jealous Friend in BJSC 117) and as we didn't do one of these rambling commentaries last month I'll belatedly acknowledge that our 8 points to Numayania last month were their first points from us since we gave 5 to The Asteroids Galaxy Tour a lifetime ago in BJSC 42; their wait for another appearance in our votes is markedly shorter as they sneak in again this month with 1 point for another camp synthbop. Also a shoutout to our host Aeroche and other auto-qualifiers Kluminican Republic who both make our votes, picking up 8 and 5 points respectively.
