Loads of movement in the playlist today, which is good to see
 Not sure I was expecting Royal Blood to go straight to A-list (they've never even gone straight to B-list before), it's a great song though so hopefully it will give them their first Top 40 hit? Shock of the week has to be Derulo being A-listed, just when everyone had written him off  and YUNGBLUD being A-listed after 6 straight weeks on the B-list is quite a shock too! (Only 3 instances I can find of that happenning in the last few years)Good to see Sub Focus x Wilkinson and Biffy finally added, though I'm surprised not to see Sigala/James Arthur this week. I'm just going to abandon all hope of them adding Guetta/Sia now. |

Suppose Royal Blood after 2 great albums and now a strong comeback are considered A-List stars now.
Kinda though Sam Smith would have been B-Listed instantly too. |

Finally @ Biffy Clyro, easily my fave song on their new album. Good to see Rudimental added too (didn't occur to me that it hadn't been yet).
I really don't get why people have got the impression that Radio 1 hates Jason Derulo, if they did they would just not have playlisted this song at all. Fair enough y'all were right about 'Savage Love' stalling on the B-List but still ~ |

Space is your classic cosy autumn night rock ballad. Keep forgetting what that Sub Focus x Wilkinson one goes like even though it did well on my PC (personal chart). Both have done much better in the past (hi Tidal Wave and Afterglow). Not been listening to as much daytime R1 as usual recently but lots of the A-list is looking a bit deadwood (hi Holiday). Guetta x Sia has Radio 2 written all over it (not necessarily a bad thing, I've been listening to quite a bit of OJ Borg this year, a lot of his show is R1 stuff they don't play at that time of night plus I love the 80s), surprised they haven't playlisted it yet. I've never liked Royal Blood apart from How Did We Get So Dark but just gave the new one a listen and rather enjoyed it. I was a bit of an early adoptor of Ashnikko, so great to see her A-listed even though they ignored a couple of fun singles.
