"Borat: Gift of Pornographic Monkey to Vice Premiere Mikhael Pence to Make Benefit Recently Diminished Nation of Kazakhstan" aka Borat 2 has been acquired by Amazon for a late October release! (to tie in with the US election)
The press release says Baron Cohen risked his life for this to be made, and had to wear a bullet-proof vest, so I'm quite hyped for this! |

The first one was hilarious, the majority of the film still tickles me today. I hope this can be just as good.

I cannot wait for this, the 1st film is perfection (I remember going to see it in the.. cinema!!!). I'm so glad he's bought the character back.

I thought he said at one point he could no longer do the character because everyone knows about it now and wouldn't fall for it?
The original Borat is one of my favourite films (not that I am a huge film watcher x) so it's cool to see a sequel finally happening. |

I believe the plot of the film is about Borat disguising himself as other characters (so Sacha playing Borat playing a character ) like the far-right festival he appeared at a few months ago.

The best scenes were definitely in the trailer, but oh my god at the final sequence with Karen No idea how he got away with going to a Trump rally as a KKK.
Great movie, I need to watch it again. While the first one was just fantastic, the follow-up is way more of a political statement. Don't think I can watch that moonblood sequence again though.. |

My jaw dropped various times...but Tutar talking about touching her c*nt to a bunch of Republican women and flashing her period stained crotch to high society was INSANE

I watched this last night - excellent again, things have changed so much since the last film and some of these opinions you just can't be that shocked by anymore (especially after Who is America), but it still managed to be incredibly effective. Maria Bakalova in particular was brilliant, she really carried the film in her solo scenes, that's no mean feat being next to Baran-Cohen.
The moments that really shocked me (asides from the rally and Rudy Giullani which I'd already heard about) was that debutante ball scene and the priest reacting nonchalantly to a father impregnating his daughter and the doctor saying 'if you're dad wasn't here' , it's hard to know how much people were in on it (the character and actor are so well known now that it's difficult to see how a few didn't catch on eventually), but still, I honestly think he may have a deathwish sometimes with what he does, but God bless him for it! |
