Good evening! I am proud to present the first quiz of this quiz season! And we're starting by going off the beaten track and experimenting a bit, so please be kind biggrin.gif

If you've done these sorts of quizzes before, you may notice that there isn't a list of questions here. This is because this round of Pointless is a timed quiz on a random quiz website that I found ohmy.gif Below is a link to a website on which I have inputted 10 categories. Similar to actual Pointless, you must enter as many items you can think of which fit the category, and then give your final answer - this will be the one you think the lowest number of people will have guessed. You will have 100 seconds to give all your answers and submit your final answer, the same as the people are given in actual Pointless. The number of people who guessed that answer will be the number of points you get - lowest score wins.

For a little more incentive to guess as many as possible, the two people who give the most correct answers for each question will recieve a 3 point deduction from their score. (remember the lower the score the better!)

A few more tidbits:
- The quiz isn't pausable, but if you copy your exact URL and then paste it again, you can pick up where you left off.
- Your guess won't be included in the number of points you get, so you essentially get one less point than the number of people who guessed.
- If your final answer is incorrect, you will be awarded maximum points (equal to the number of players). However there will be no penalty for giving incorrect answers in the first part of each question.
- Google is NOT allowed - for fairness one of the questions has a video attached which you can watch if you are clueless but other than that please don't leave the page.
- If you feel you'll be unfairly disadvantaged because of a lack of a computer or a disability, let me know and I can send you a version with a longer time limit.
- Also, if you lose track of time and forget to post your final answer, you can PM me with it. (but please don't abuse this!)

(it's in two parts because i'm poor and it'll only let me do 10 answer boxes per quiz. It'll also only allow 20 responses per quiz so I'll post an 'overflow' quiz here soon)

If you have any questions about the game itself, things I've forgotten to mention or errors in the quiz, feel free to comment below. If you have any questions about the questions themselves, please PM me so we don't give the game away!

The fake deadline is Sunday 11th October 23:59, the actual deadline is Monday 12th October 17:30 but if I put that date at the start everyone would assume it meant midnight and then complain when I posted the results thread kink.gif

Good luck and hope you enjoy! (if it's really impossible I'll just switch back to normal Pointless but I'll keep my hopes up for now)

I like the no-google no looking up stuff, makes it harder but better imo

Also on the last question of part 2 I didn't quite finish typing my final answer but hopefully you can work it out from the letters I did manage to type?

Thanks for all the responses so far! Just noticed a couple of people have only done Part 1 and not Part 2 (I've highlighted your names on the Participants list) - remember to complete it! I'll still count your answers but you'll end up with 5 incorrect ones wink.gif

Also a reminder that the first box is there to name as many items from that category as possible! I haven't left a big blank box there for nothing kink.gif

but the number of answers in the first box is infinite? cos at one of the answers I was writing a lot of names and then it told me
something you reach the limit or something like you cannot type more answers

I also misunderstood that you could only type right answers not just anything

GAH! One of my answers only has the artist name and not the song title as I clicked proceed by mistake! drama.gif the one I was most confident in too GAH

OBVIOUSLY only read the opening post here afterwards so didn't leave a list of answers either haha!

Can't wait for my 600+ point score!

Oh well I didn't read the thread before answering. I missed the bit where we're supposed to give as many answers as we could think of. There was me thinking we had plenty of time to answer each question. blush.gif

If it comes up with a limit that's an issue with the site itself that I hadn't foreseen - if anyone else has this issue just write answers on the same line if it'll let you.

(anyone who had technical issues which meant they didn't write the final answer, send me a PM with what you wanted to write and I'll probably accept it)
