At present there’s no release date confirmed but Ariana has revealed her 6th album is coming this month.
So predict how you think it’ll do purely based off speculation as there’s no lead single to base it on, no pre-order or release date. Just for fun really  I voted 51 - 59k with a #1 debut. Looking at upcoming weeks The 23rd is Bruce Springsteen as competition The 30th is Sam Smith Sam is probably the person she’s most likely of outselling in week one of those two. Ariana’s most recent studio album 2019’s thank u, next debuted at #1 with 65,214 copies. |

Depends when it's out really! 30th, definitely #1. 23rd, I think Bruce will be strong competition.
Sales wise I've gone for 41-50k |

how weird? if you announce an album, the point is to make it available for pre-order, otherwise its better to do a surprise drop for the oomph factor

Surely it doesn't hurt in her case? The album will sell the same amount whether it's available for pre-order 5 days or two weeks.

I’m guessing the lead single will be released a week before the album?
I have a feeling the lead will be released THIS Friday (16th) followed by the album on the 23rd? Adele is also apparently releasing her fourth album in Q4; a mid-late November release is apparently being eyed by her team. The lead from that will be released a month prior so expect that next Friday or on the 30th. |

Prob number 1 with about 50k, considering how oih her last 2 eras was with big hits she still hasnt managed huge album sales.

Adele has been 'supposedly' releasing an album imminently for like 3 years at this point, I'll believe it when I see it.
We know absolutely nothing about this Ariana album yet so it's much too early to make any predictions x |

We now have a confirmed release date for this of the 30th!
So her main competition on release week is Sam Smith! Who currently has a track record of #1 debuts with their previous releases. I do think Ariana will probably outsell Sam this time around though as I’d argue that her popularity has really soared since the time period between Sams last release which was Q4 2017. |

Sam Smith is no competition, I don't see any interest in their latest singles, Diamonds hasn't flopped cos the payola has been gigantic but
not even going top 20 with a song insta-added as track #5 on Hot Hits, that's quite the flop and Sam Smith doesn't have the crazy fanbase ala Kylie that will buy 7 cassettes and 5 vinyls Still cannot figure out if Ariana is out on physicals or not, cos on streams alone there is only so much you can sell (see Folklore)... so if it's stream only, I'd say Ariana could do 30K, if there's a physical, 50K. |

Yes the album title and lead single are both called 'Positions'!
Excited to see what kind of numbers she can do off the back of the huge 'thank u, next' era and #1 single with Gaga earlier in the year! Voted 51k - 69k. |
