7/12 of these songs made my personal chart and a couple of others weren't far off making it in as well. I think 'The Kill' is the only song on there that ranks among my favourite songs of the year but for its consistently high quality the album as a whole is probably somewhere in my top 10 of the year still.

Such a solid album. All the tracks deserve their place. I think I would jiggle the tracklisting around a bit so the first half isn't so heavy in tunes and spread them out a bit. In Your Eyes to Read My Lips is a little samey so they could be broken up a bit better too. A glowing body of work *.*

WHAT is this thread doing in Indie, Rock & Alt? What's Your Pleasure is quite literally the most straightforwardly dance record you'll ever hear and Jessie is a pop/dance artist. Why do the mods here never put threads in the right place?

BuzzJack has always had a very liberal interpretation of 'alternative' that essentially includes any sort of vaguely uncommercial/artistic pop music. Nothing new.

Pleasantly surprised at 'The Kill' getting a couple more 11s beyond mine - I am pretty firmly of the thought now that it's the best song she's ever made. (The only way it could be improved would be maybe if the chorus was brought back one more time at the end but that's just nitpicking)

I think she was genuinely considered alternative for album one (and perhaps two to a point?) and maybe that stuck.
