For TPC's 25th anniversary they're planning on releasing collaborations with pop artists. Pokémon's anniversary is set to take place on Pokémon Day, February 28th.

The first artist being Katy Perry



At the moment we don't know an awful lot, there was a tiny snippet in the below video;



(I put this in pop because so far, it's pop artists, but I would imagine this will deviate to separate topics shortly)

Rita Ora was the first pop girl to properly collaborate with them with the release of Detective Pikachu a few years ago (and also being in the movie)

Who would you like to see collaborate with the behemoth brand?

Loved the Rita Ora track but it wasn't really related to Pokemon I guess, I wonder if Katy Perry will sing the Pokemon rap or something laugh.gif

From the preview I'd guess it's called 'Electric', so should be connected to Pikachu laugh.gif

Yeah the Rita Ora track was for Detective Pikachu, so I guess they just needed to fit the film's theme, rather than this which is specifically for the 25th Anniversary, so it'll be a lot Pokemon-related.

Miley singing the original Pokemon theme please!!

I’d love a punk rock cover of the OG theme song from Panic! or someone like that

And yes the PokeRap would be amazing but idk who could cover it and even go near the original

It's a yearlong collaboration with UMG!

Which means there is a LOT to choose from in terms of artist repertoire.

Universal Music Singapore tweeted (and then deleted) that the album is out on October 16th, and will feature 11 tracks!

Someone on Pulse Music is saying that Post Malone is one of them.
