Rebecca Ferguson & Jedward are going OFF on Twitter and as a result "Justice for 1D & Little Mix" is trending! Basically calling out SYCO & MODEST about the treatments of their talent. I think some of Rebecca's tweets have been deleted? Coz I can't find the ones that are used in these tweets... Jedward's tweets: THIS ONE!!! |

Jedward say so much random stuff which has proving to be untrue that when they do speak truth it’s hard to believe them!

I wonder if their NDAs have finally lapsed.
I can imagine LM and 1D being re-tied into new ones after they hit big success. |

Cher Lloyd also hinted at it too on a new TikTok video: https://twitter.com/superTV247/status/1379173272747700227

I've been following Rebecca's posts for a while now, but this is getting bigger and bigger! Good for them, X Factor/Simon/Syco always seemed like such a toxic combination and I am not surprised one bit.

I wonder if their NDAs have finally lapsed. I can imagine LM and 1D being re-tied into new ones after they hit big success. Likely yes. Steve Brookstein released his book in 2014, ten years after he'd been on the show. I'm sure he said that the NDA he had to sign was either nine or ten years, which is insane. Of course, some of the things they are talking about is just usual reality tv fluff though (such as having to pretend to "like" their coach; that's just standard fare just as models on ANTM almost collapsing with excitement when Tyra Banks appears). I’m really surprised this is a surprise to people. Simon Cowell isn’t interested in artists he’s only interested in making money.
So many artists and groups over the years have been in similar positions. Virtually every 90s pop group was chewed up and spat out and walked away with hardly any money, which isn’t exactly the point as people are talking about control and contracts. 1D and LM however are probably better off financially compared to other pop groups and XFactor acts, but this toxic environment has been going on for decades in the music industry. I feel sorry for these artists because often they ‘legally’ can’t speak out. This post has been edited by Spice Girls Net: 6th April 2021, 11:16 AM |

We sorta already knew this though, we know that Syco is an awful, controlling label and that X-Factor contestants get little to no care from the show, that's literally why Little Mix created The Search.
I appreciate Jedward calling it out and supporting Little Mix who are unfortunately the only act out of the two (and together) still under Modest- who also appear to be useless, but again that's no surprise. I'm still waiting for Little Mix's tell all. I know once Jesy's NDA is finished she'll be SPEAKING. |

I of course have full respect and support for anyone who experienced sexual assault or bullying etc. That goes beyond saying.
However stuff like 'Louis didn't REALLY pick our songs!!", "We were told we'd be huge stars!", "We were told to say this at the audition!" and other trivial, contrived crap to make the show more controversial and entertaining for the public isn't much of a spill. Everyone knows that reality TV in the mid to late 00's was built on lying to contestants and exploiting them for ratings. It's not nice and I will be keen to hear what gets said but I swear we hear the same stuff from every past X-Factor/Britains Got Talent/The Voice contestant. |

At this point anyone over the age of twelve should realise that reality tv is as real as Santa Claus. Plus we know those accusations about them being used to make money will just be countered by X-Factor and it's representatives that they were given a huge platform to launch their career and what happens after that is up to them (and well, they're kind of right about that). I'm more interested in shady contracts, impossibly long NDAs, them being blocked from releasing music in certain territories etc. Don't waste our time with what we already know. |

I'd love to hear the full story as in how bad it was and what they were forced to do and not do.i think in recent tears everyone knew they were a very controlling label who treated people like they were simply disposable but surely this is the end of the factor full stop now.

Zoe Alexander has done a really interesting video about the Jedward tweets, following on from videos about her own story last year

I'll give Zoe Alexander a miss considering she claimed they Photoshopped her Dad on stage with her at her audition.

Not sure but I really want this to blow up if everything jedward said is true, it would ironic if Jedward were the ones to bring this all out in the open and maybe as a result change the toxic culture that the top tier in the industry have managed to instill for years.
