I'm sure some of you will look at particular inclusions and think "huh?", but let me explain:

When I had the idea for this thread, it was purely going to be first singles... but I think it's fair to say that sometimes the lines are a little blurred when it comes to what actually is the first single from an album, so that made things less straightforward. Examples include Goodbye from Forever (which was released 2 years before the album) vs. Holler/Let Love Lead the Way, the single which truly launched that era. Mel B's Hot has the same scenario with I Want You Back vs. Tell Me. Emma's A Girl Like Me includes What I Am, even though it's certainly What Took You So Long? that is considered as the first single. Some Melanie C albums launched with different singles in different countries (for example The Moment You Believe vs. I Want Candy).

In the end, I decided to just include any song that could fit any of the following descriptions: first single, lead single, launch single (the release that directly precedes the album's release). That means I've ended up including Say You'll Be There, I'll Be There, Desire and Fearless. I decided to disregard non-singles, such as I Don't Know How to Love Him, Too Many Teardrops and Overload.

I know I'm probably overthinking this lol. I hope some of you end up enjoying the activity, even if you might disagree with some of the inclusions!
