The winners of Little Mix: The Search have given us all a taste of what's to come from their album. They did a 3-part, short Youtube documentary where they embarked on a "The Empty Seats Tour", playing to, you guessed it, no one.
You can hear 2 new songs + the single in each of their videos. All the Broken Hearts: (Starts at 9:08) --- Hurt Like You Hurt Me: (Starts at 10:05) --- FIRST SINGLE Let You Go: (Starts at 8:50) |

'Hurt Like You Hurt Me' is absolutely gorgeous. I love that so much. Jacob's voice on that... wow.
I get strong 'Amnesia' by 5SOS vibes from 'All the Broken Hearts'. Although I'm sure a studio version would be better, Matthew came in far too aggressive after Jacob's tender opening and it really sticks out. Him and Patrick shoulda switched parts I think. 'Let You Go' is good. Not sure I'd go for it as the first single. Sounds very 3rd/4th single from an album to me, but who knows, maybe the studio version packs more of a punch. But it's nice! I'm low-key impressed with their songs tbh. I'm excited to hear them in studio form and I'm so excited to hear and cry to HLYHM live next year! |

I agree that All the Broken Hearts shouldn't have Matthew on chorus, he's got a very distinctive voice but it's used at the wrong moment I think! I really like the song though, agree with the Amnesia comparison.
Hurt Like You Hurt Me is absolutely beautiful, it feels like the sort of song that could be huge with the right promotional slot? Whether they actually get an opportunity like that or not, god knows, but still. Let You Go is lovely, I expected something more upbeat for single 1, though I suppose it could still be quite upbeat in its final version? These acoustic sets don't lend themselves to uptempos really Really impressed with all three songs anyway! |
