Really looking forward to this.

Hopefully we get an album this year, or even an EP.

Good to see she has lined up the follow up to let's go home together, I kinda see this as an important single to get right to keep the momentum going.

Think this ia a make/break moment, hopefully they get it right, and she canestabliush herself as a proper artists that people follow and buy albums from rather than an anonymous backing singer (sadly) like Becky Hill or Raye

She needs a hit in her own right, to be honest.

But whether a banger or a ballad will do it is anyone's guess.

I don't really know what I want from her.

I adore Take Care Of You and Dream On Me but they weren't successful. I find Let's Go Home Together okay but not really a sound I enjoy her on much, but it was successful and I want her to be successful so...

Play to the hetties, I guess, sis x

This is how I feel, I feel like I forced myself to like Let's Go Home Together laugh.gif

I'd love a dreamy pop bop like the first two singles from this "era" but I think she might actually be more successful continuing down a more contemporary route.

Ella is in quite a strange marketing position. Not really a ‘cool’ dance artist for a younger audience like Becky Hill is, her latest ballads didn’t seem to cut through and in her heart she loves soul, RnB, Gospel but that doesn’t sell!
For a solo single she’s probably best keeping to upbeat pop. But clearly needs a very very good song to get anywhere.

Ps. The poppy Take Care of You just got accredited Silver so it’s done pretty well tbh. The charts are increasingly difficult and stream playlist dominated and maybe we need to move on from just judging success by them.

It's hard to know what would be the best sound for the next single, I'd live it to be a pop banger and a big hit for her.

I'm not really confident she can achieve a hit single totally solo, but I want her to do well and I hope 'Let's Go Home Together' has at least set her up for whatever comes next.

i imagine it'll be much more singer-songwriter orientated than the dance stuff.

Even she can keep getting hits with features etc I'd be happy, I'd love solo hits but anything is better than nothing.

I'd rather have an album that more dance collabs, it's been 8 years since Chapter One!

I never thought her follow up album would take as long, we could be looking at a 10 year anniversary before album 2 comes.

there was an album with Syco (I believe the lead single was called 'Ugly') and they decided to drop her in favour of Louisa (for some reason the thought of two female artists was too much work?)

Simon Cowell had big plans for Louisa from the off but ella shouldn't have been punished for it, her debut was a great success and its such a shame the momentum was lost.

Very stupid i agree, i remember Louisas year on x factor and from the start you could tell Simon wanted her win, why he ever prioritized over ella is beyond me as ella was doing so well..
