Top 100 for the 19th July 2021
Pete's Chart Commentary Amy Shark breaks the record for most weeks at #1, managing a sixth week - although not without competition as three new entries make their way into the Top 10, one of which is coincidentially a collaboration between my 2016 EOY #1 and #2! Quite a lot of movement overall this week as the summer and all its goodness get underway - Sam Fender nabs his first Top 40 hit, whilst Ten Tonnes, Amy MacDonald and Michael Patrick Kelly all add to their count. 1 [1] Amy Shark - Baby Steps (24-17-4-1-1-1-1-1-1-) 2 [NE] The Vaccines - Back In Love City (2-) 3 [4] Grouplove - Oxygen Swimming (8-7-4-3-) 4 [2] Nico & Vinz - Don't Be Afraid (2-2-2-2-2-4-) 5 [3] The Vaccines - Headphones Baby (7-5-3-3-3-5-) 6 [6] Bleachers - Stop Making This Hurt (10-8-6-6-) 7 [9] Bastille - Distorted Light Beam (18-9-7-) 8 [10] Diplo & Damian Lazarus - Don't Be Afraid (ft. Hey Pete!
Distorted Light Beam will finally be entering my chart in a couple of weeks. It managed to worm it's way into my head Talk About is quite good. I'm a fan I guess? |

Hey Pete!
Incredible for The Vaccines to go straight in at number 2 and thoroughly deserved too, another complete bop from them. At this rate it's gonna be their best album yet I'm actually disappointed with both Sam Fender's and Declan McKenna's new singles, neither of them are up to their usual standards for me and haven't really resonated with me at all so far. I'm surprised you charted a random song from the Ten Tonnes EP and not the far superior 'Go' - which I presume you've heard? Bastille coming for top 5 hopefully? I was underwhelmed with it at first but it's kinda growing on me now Great stuff! |

Hi, Pete!
The Auld Lang Syne sample on Walk Off The Earth and Lukas Graham's new track is good. I'm pretty enjoying it Good to see Porter Robinson reaching the top 20 as well Nice chart! |

Hey there Pete
Wow congrats to Amy for achieving most weeks at #1 here I think 5 weeks was my record for years and then Dua's 'Physical' demolished it with 12 weeks last year My favourite new entry this week is definitely courtesy of Sam Fender! I really hope he can finally crack the official top 40 with this one on top of your top 40! <3 Great chart |

Hi Pete!
Nice to see "My House" in the top 10, the big gain for "Throwback" and the debut for "Seventeen Going Under" in the top 40! Great chart! |
