A round later than last year because I misread the dates for the First Round Proper as the dates for the whole thing starting A reminder of the rules: Everyone who agrees to take part will be assigned a team which is taking part in the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup. Each poster will then acquire points based on the team they are assigned, however if your team is knocked out, you will be assigned the team which beat your team. This means that everyone who enters will be able to accumulate points right up until the Final. Here's how the points system will work: - If your team wins, you will be awarded 5 points, plus the final goal difference of the match (excluding penalties) - If your team loses, you will be awarded the number of goals scored by your team as points - In the event of a replay, the losing team will recieve the sum of the goals scored in both games, plus one additional point. - A losing team will also recieve an extra point if the game goes to extra time, and two extra points if the game goes to penalties. - If one team wins by default (e.g. a walkover) the 'winning' team will be awarded 5 points and the 'losing' team nothing. If you miss the deadline for the first round then you can still participate and I will allocate you a team participating in the second round, however obviously you won't have any points from the first round. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Let's get going! |

I was wondering if BBC iPlayer would be showing a match from each round of the FA Cup starting with the Prelims this year, and thankfully they are - it's Sheffield FC against Sherwood Colliery on Saturday (the former laying claim to being the oldest football team in the world, an honour I'd always assumed went to Notts County).

Let's get this draw going!
PeteFromLeeds - Bridlington Town Yorkshire / Northern Premier League Division One East Next match: Consett (21st August) Mack - Abbey Rangers Surrey / Combined Counties League Premier Division North Next match: Loxwood (21st August) awardinary - Great Wakering Rovers Essex / Isthmian League North Division Next match: Heybridge Swifts (21st August) I've ended up with the same team as last year - a complete fluke I promise! |

Well I was at Gatwick a couple of weeks ago so that's topical.

Just a suggestion, could you keep a tracker in the OP of who everyone has and the rolling points table? Ignore if you were planning on doing this anyway
