Top 100 for the 14th August 2021
Pete's Chart Commentary It's a new #1! After a few weeks of climbing Sam Fender has finally made it to the top spot, pushing Charleon down to #2. Again the busyness of summer prevents me from listening to too much new music but we do at least get two climbers into the Top 10 in the form of St. Lundi and Orla Gartland. BANNERS' new EP makes an appearance here as well (although sadly not pushing Serenade any higher), plus a few other new entries making a splash throughout the chart. 1 [4] Sam Fender - Seventeen Going Under (21-18-8-4-1-) 2 [1] Charleon - Her Name (1-1-1-2-) 3 [2] BANNERS - Serenade (2-2-2-3-) 4 [3] Declan McKenna - My House (9-7-4-3-4-) 5 [6] Bleachers - Stop Making This Hurt (10-8-6-6-6-5-6-5-) 6 [7] Grouplove - Oxygen Swimming (8-7-4-3-5-7-7-6-) 7 [5] Amy Shark - Baby Steps (24-17-4-1-1-1-1-1-1-3-3-5-7-) 8 [12] St. Lundi - Lost in Love (12-8-) 9 [24] Orla Gartland - Do You Mind (24-9-) 10 [8] LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER - Stupid Me (8-10-) 11 [10] Walk Off The Earth & Lukas Graham - Love You Right (10-9-9-10-11-) 12 [9] The Vaccines - Back In Love City (2-4-6-9-12-) 13 [11] Diplo & Damian Lazarus - Don't Be Afraid (ft. Hey Pete! Distorted Light Beam starting it's decent now I think? That's a shame. It's finally just entered my chart as well Fireworks has done really well here surprisingly. I'm actually quite shocked at the reception to it in general in Buzzjack. Lol new Bastille music. I'll be giving that a bash tonight after work Not Talk About leaving your chart already Nice chart! Yeah both Bastille songs are fading on me now sadly! In fact I never massively took to Give Me The Future - continuing their Top-10-or-bust chart runs for me Thanks James! Hey Pete! I'm really enjoying that Sam Feldt single - he's definitely one of the better dance producers around at the moment, it's just a shame he can't get big hits. Usually I'd be all over new Declan McKenna and Sam Fender singles but I'm just not feeling either of them tbh and I can't even see that changing with repeated listens. Still nice to see them top five though I guess! Shame 'Back In Love City' is falling but the album is just around the corner now, I'm excited for that I heard The Riddle on the Olympics coverage the day after it came out so thought it might have some sort of success but sadly not yet I guess you won't be over the moon to see Sam Fender at the top of my chart then! Thanks Mango Hi Pete! Didn't know Sody has a new song so will definitely give it a listen. Her Name is blocking Serenade at no. 1 but hopefully Serenade can earn a well-deserved no. 1 spot on your chart in the end The way you wrote that sentence made me think that Sody's name was blocking Serename from #1 and I got confused for a second It appears that the Sody song isn't new, I just assumed it was given its surge up the iTunes chart last week! I see you've charted it anyway - thanks Jack! Hi Pete! Nice to see "Truth", "Where Are You Now" and "Give Me The Future" debut below the top 40, Great chart! Glad you're enjoying all these songs Sergej - thanks for commenting! |

Hi Pete!
Nice to see "Seventeen Going Under" at the top, it overtook "Hypersonic Missiles" as my favourite Sam Fender song. Very happy to see "Throwback" getting a new peak. As for the debuts, I need to listen to them, before I can comment on them. Great chart! |

Hi, Pete!
Sounds like Seventeen Going Under is gonna be a hit soon. Will give it a repeat alongside WOTE & Lukas Graham's Love You Right. Great week |

Hey Pete!
Look At The Sky has finally been added to my chart playlist although I didn't enjoy it as much as I remembered when I first heard the song. Distorted Light Beam nooooo |

hi pete!
Tempting not-yet-heard stuff in your upper reaches from grouplove, bleachers, Walk Off The earth, sofi tukker, and one I have heard (bastille). Hooverphonic, Sigrid, Jungle, Rat City, all sounding good still! good stuff! |
