Ed Sheeran removed from the playlist while he's still #1
 they obviously know he's hitting ACR next week!Belinda Carlisle on the R1 playlist in 2021  when will yo 80s* faves? *.*At the risk of sounding like Hadji, they should have removed 'Remember' and added Becky's new one this week. * Yes I know she had more hits in the 90s than the 80s but she's generally classed as an 80s artist. |

More likely people are starting to get fed up of the track and writing to R1 to ask them to stop playing it. Quite a few tracks with extended No 1 runs have been deleted in history before they fall of the No 1 spot due to overexposure. |

Very happy to see Rathbone Place on there. Also good adds for Halsey, Griff and Dermot Kennedy (better late than never). That Nessa Barrett song has a lovely title to it, just listened to a bit of it and it reminds me of Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘brutal’ but without a lot of the charm that has. Is it from Tik Tok?
Also nice to see BURNS, Doja Cat, Rag N Bone Man and Joel/Jax etc all moving up. A bit surprised not to see Little Mix or Drake instantly added today and Hopefully Sigrid gets added next week. |

I think Dance Monkey is the only previous #1 R1 have removed from their playlist that also stayed there both later that day and the following week - so if Bad Habits ends up getting a 10th and 11th week, it'll be the second.
Life Goes On has probably used up more than its nine lives by now. |

I think you hit the nail on the head with that description, it does sound like it's trying to recreate the vibe of Olivia's 'heavier' songs but there does seem to be a certain charm / authenticity missing from it - I don't think it's awful though, it sits with 'Build A Bitch' in the very short list of 'surprisingly tolerable songs by TikTokers'. The Drake album didn't even have a confirmed tracklist until a couple of hours before its release so I presume it was just too late for anything from it to be serviced to Radio 1, no doubt something from him will show up next week. A little odd that they haven't picked a particular song to playlist from the Kanye album, based on Hot Hits (and common sense) it seems like 'Hurricane' is probably the most likely to get a playlist spot on its own, probably next week as well. Also there's surely 0% chance Radio 1 would be snubbing a Dua Lipa single so I'm fairly sure the continuing absence of 'Love Again' just means it isn't being sent to UK radio for some reason. |
