Breakdown of the week
- Saturday: Some information may be posted on social media but it is likely to be missing most streaming data and is unrepresentative.
- Sunday: Official First Look Chart on Radio 1 from 6-7pm. Please do not post spoilers on the forum in advance as this ruins the countdown for any listeners.
- Monday: OCC Top 100 from 5:45pm
- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.
- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.
- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)
- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).
- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.
- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. Any chart requests between No. 41 to 100 will not be answered after Monday's update.
- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

Just listened to new Katy Perry track. It's really good. I wonder if releasing in such a quiet week might help her to chart?

Nope, because releasing in such a quiet week meant it didn’t get added to NMF!

On this chart last year, Get Out My Head, Without You, 34+35, You Broke Me First and Paradise all held Top 10 places which they wouldn't have done if Blinding Lights, Mood, Head & Heart, Positions and Lemonade had been reset, while if Levitating and You Broke Me First hadn't been reset, Prisoner and Willow would have been there instead. So that's 13 songs whose Top 10 fate was in the hands of the decision makers, with YBMF doubly fortunate. As much as it freshened up the chart, that's a bit too arbitrary for my liking.

Good point!
That's a shame, and hope it doesn't hinder the songs success too much

Hoping Sam Fender can get that #2 peak that he would have already had without Christmas music.

Interested to see what order everything will rebound in too.

sadly 17 going under isn't doing as well as 1 month ago, still hoping for top 5

don't think it's that arbitrary, if a track the currently promoted single, it gets a reset, if it is not, it doesn't

kinda think Easy on me will be reset as it's still Adeles current single

I assumed EOM wouldn't get a reset since it's already peaked at #1!

And if the label are planning to switch to promoting single #2 anytime soon I would think they'd agree...

It's been #1 but it's still the #1 song on all platforms
and there's no sign of single 2 yet so I think it will be reaet

If it was t reset would EOM not still be top 15 today even on ACR? Makes sense just to leave it and move onto single 2 iver the next two weeks with airplay peaking at radio during awards season in Feb?

Anyway the chart today should be be dry interesting even if dominated by a lot of old songs!
