Voting has now closed so let's get on with the results! Thanks to the 38 of you who voted (and one of me). Firstly let's get out of the way all of the tracks literally no one cares for...
#57. D-Block Europe - No Competition UK chart run: 18-33-39-22-44-57-61-x-54-67-... [9 weeks] Points: -02 | Positive votes: 00 | Negative votes: 01 [LiamSine] Dead last we have the first of two DBE appearances. The track that lead the campaign for "Home Alone 2", the sequel to "Home Alone" that no one on Buzzjack asked for, it was a rather forgettable song from them so unsurprisingly attracted no positive attention. LiamSine hated this more than any other in the list which puts it alone in last place. #52. Stay Flee Get Lizzy - Meant To Be (feat. Fredo & Central Cee) UK chart run: 17-38-55-72-x [4 weeks] Points: ±00 | Positive votes: 00 | Negative votes: 00 Who remembers this then? Well clearly it was "meant to be" that this song would end up getting no points whatsoever. It saw two rappers of the moment team up under the clothing label Stay Flee Get Lizzy, cos non-musical entities getting hits is a thing now. You clearly aren't that keen on either Fredo or Central Cee as we'll soon see... #52. Fredo - Burner On Deck (feat. Pop Smoke & Young Adz) UK chart run: 18-32-51-64-x [4 weeks] Points: ±00 | Positive votes: 00 | Negative votes: 00 Here's Fredo again, this one entering high off the album release and helped by Young Adz (of DBE) and Pop Smoke. How Fredo managed to get a posthumous Pop Smoke verse on an album track remains a mystery but the points total of this never was. #52. Fredo - Back To Basics UK chart run: 20-x [1 weeks] Points: ±00 | Positive votes: 00 | Negative votes: 00 You really don't care for Fredo then as neither of his three tracks registered a single point. No, I don't recall how this went either. #52. Central Cee - 6 For 6 UK chart run: 16-26-30-37-48-57-64-67-75-x [9 weeks] Points: ±00| Positive votes: 00 | Negative votes: 00 Central Cee became the hottest new property in UK rap but like his Fredo collab no one cared for this track either. #52. J. Cole - Amari UK chart run: 16-35-66-x [3 weeks] Points: ±00| Positive votes: 00 | Negative votes: 00 J. Cole's long awaited (by hip hop fans) album came out earlier this year brining him three very short lived top 20 hits. The lowest charting of these failed to get any attention here though his other two managed to avoid the bottom section. #51. Drake - Way 2 Sexy (feat. Future & Young Thug) UK chart run: 11-15-19-23-28-39-38-48-57-x [9 weeks] Points: +01 | Positive votes: 02 | Negative votes: 05 [Joseph, CJK, Bjork, Nick F1, gooddelta] Top Supporter: Dobbo [+6] With a positive score of 11 and a negative score of 10, Drake just about misses the top 50 here with the Right Said Fred sampling train wreck that is "Way 2 Sexy". That is far too high a placing for Drake’s horrific Right Said Fred cover. The fact that the music video is mildy entertaining is no excuse for this trash not to finish in last place!!
Having said that there’s no particular musical masterpieces among that selection lmao. |

Nat King Cole's version meanwhile has never made the top 40. #49. Digga D - Red Light Green Light UK chart run: 17-24-31-43-69-x [5 weeks] Points: +06 | Positive votes: 01 | Negative votes: 01 [Smint] Top Supporter: Rush [+8] Taking a bit of inspiration from the hit Netflix show Squid Game Digga D got a hit with this track although it had too many gang violence references for Radio 1 to be able to play it. #48. Tion Wayne & ArrDee - Wid It UK chart run: 19-27-34-33-30-33-38-43-48-x [9 weeks] Points: +09 | Positive votes: 01 | Negative votes: 00 Top Supporter: Smint [+9] Another minor rap hit now from Tion Wayne helped somewhat by one of the year's hot new rappers ArrDee. #47. J. Cole - Pride Is The Devil (feat. Lil Baby) UK chart run: 15-28-50-67-x [4 weeks] Points: +14 | Positive votes: 02 | Negative votes: 00 Top Supporter: DalekTurret32 [+8] Here's J. Cole again this time teaming up with Lil Baby, will he be able to place anything in the top 40? #46. Post Malone & The Weeknd - One Right Now UK chart run: 20-29-33-43-72-74-x-42-46-... [8 weeks] Points: +16 | Positive votes: 03 | Negative votes: 00 Top Supporter: Boymetworld91 [+7] The Weeknd has 3 entries here and perhaps surprisingly he is out of the running with one of these already. With a fairly underwhelming team up effort with Post Malone who had a rather poor year himself with his only other top 40 hit being perhaps his worst yet in Motley Crew. |

#45. Kanye West - Off the Grid
UK chart run: 15-25-45-69-x [4 weeks] Points: +19 | Positive votes: 04 | Negative votes: 00 Top Supporter: Brer [+7] Kanye went off the grid and also went off the chart within a month for this top 20 hit, the third track from his album-bomb. #44. Central Cee - Loading UK chart run: 37-37-40-41-34-48-47-49-59-52-20-19-24-26-29-29-63-66-61-64-x [20 weeks] Points: +23 | Positive votes: 04 | Negative votes: 00 Top Supporter: Mack [+10] A few more of you liked this effort from Central Cee which had a fairly long chart run eventually peaking post-Christmas though unfortunately still not enough for the top 40 despite it being one of the better rap songs in this list. #43. Mimi Webb - Dumb Love UK chart run: 12-15-15-17-21-20-24-26-29-59-74-x [11 weeks] Points: +24 | Positive votes: 04 | Negative votes: 00 Top Supporter: Rush [+13] The second hit of Mimi Webb, and like the first it wasn't to my taste whatsoever. #42. Pop Smoke - Demeanor (feat. Dua Lipa) UK chart run: 14-63-75-x [3 weeks] Points: +27 | Positive votes: 05 | Negative votes: 00 Top Supporter: RabbitFurCoat [+12] Not even Dua Lipa could get Pop Smoke into the top 40 then clearly. Although this song shouldn't even have registered as a top 20 hit - if you know you know. #41. J. Cole - My Life (feat. 21 Savage & Morray) UK chart run: 13-27-55-70-x [4 weeks] Points: +34 | Positive votes: 04 | Negative votes: 00 Top Supporter: DalekTurret32 [+12] It is not to be for Mr Cole then as the highest charting of his 3 tracks misses out on this top 40. Clearly seems that Buzzjack aren't really here for him (and I don't get the fuss over him either). |

Demeanor is my favourite thing revealed, but a shocking error by the OCC that it’s here at all. Dumb Love is my 2nd favourite - I enjoyed that much more than Good Without. |

WizKid - Essence (feat. Tems) UK chart run: 74-53-50-47-35-17-16-19-24-53-59-57-59-67-x [14 weeks] Points: +40 | Positive votes: 06 | Negative votes: 00 Top Supporter: Jade [+12] Having been part of One Dance despite that being so big he could never really capitalise off it in the chart at least not until his year where this became a fairly decent seized hit for him, helped by a Justin Bieber remix that was well timed for when it had just entered the top 40. #38. Bobby Helms - Jingle Bell Rock UK chart run: 71-x-63-x-65-41-x-73-61-61-30-x-38-34-35-27-27-x-42-32-26-22-16-x [18 weeks] Points: +42 | Positive votes: 06 | Negative votes: 00 Top Supporter: WhoOdyssey [+13] A big Christmas track in America but only recently started getting traction in Britain and made the top 20 for the first time this year. Who's to say if it'll ever make the top 10 though. #37. Atomic Kitten - Southgate You're the One (Football's Coming Home Again) UK chart run: 14-x [1 weeks] Points: +46 | Positive votes: 07 | Negative votes: 00 Top Supporter: gooddelta [+12] Who thought they'd ever have made a chart appearance again? Well they cashed in on the meme of singing Whole Again with a few lyrical replacements for the football and it got them a hit for all of one week. #36. BTS - Permission to Dance UK chart run: 16-35-35-50-68-70-x [5 weeks] Points: +49 | Positive votes: 06 | Negative votes: 01 [Dan] Top Supporter: Dobbo [+13] One of the BTS #1 hits of the year in America, it didn't quite manage to splash the top 10 over here (thankfully). |

Raye) UK chart run: 49-36-30-28-22-16-17-14-16-17-21-53-54-60-71-x [15 weeks] Points: +50 | Positive votes: 06 | Negative votes: 01 [Brer] Top Supporter: RabbitFurCoat [+13] Grabbing a few more voters than perhaps you'd expect from a DBE song though having Raye on it must have helped. #33. Kanye West - Jail UK chart run: 11-28-51-x [18 weeks] Points: +51 | Positive votes: 08 | Negative votes: 02 [WhoOdyssey, Feel_The_Fever] Top Supporter: RabbitFurCoat [+18] Kanye West again, the opening song of his album which would have even made the top 10 if the DaBaby version wasn't labelled as a "Pt. 2" meaning they were uncombined. #32. [8 weeks] Points: +76 | Positive votes: 09 | Negative votes: 00 Top Supporter: SevenSeize [+18] One of two Silk Sonic tracks here, the track peaked higher but didn't stick around for as long being temporarily boosted by the album release. #28. UK chart run: 21-22-17-16-21-17-17-16-17-23-25-25-59-62-x [14 weeks] Points: +89 | Positive votes: 11 | Negative votes: 00 Top Supporter: Riser, detonate [+15] Cardi B had a bit of a quiet year with a couple of features and one solo track only this one not quite reaching the grand heights that WAP did over on British shores though. #24. Nathan Dawe & Little Mix - No Time For Tears UK chart run: 53-71-64-74-62-24-22-19-22-23-25-65-x [12 weeks] Points: +92 | Positive votes: 14 | Negative votes: 00 Top Supporter: Frenchie [+15] You'd think Nathan Dawe and Little Mix coming together would be an easy top 10 but in the end it had a bit of an uphill struggle just to make the top 20 perhaps due to Sweet Melody still doing the business for them. They'd end up recording a much better dance track soon after rendering this one a bit pointless. #23. Taylor Swift - Love Story (Taylor's Version) UK chart run: 12-41-x-45-x [3 weeks] Points: +92 | Positive votes: 14 | Negative votes: 01 [Jason] Top Supporter: ...ready for it [+18] Leading off the re-releases with her breakout hit seemed appropriate and it ended up getting her a short lived hit again. I've never been very keen on this in either version though. #22. Dermot Kennedy - Better Days UK chart run: 49-46-50-53-53-41-40-35-31-26-24-16-19-19-18-23-21-27-37-x-20-30-... 'Ferrari Horses' being one of the highest rap songs really? Desgusteng :') (and I am not hearing that RAYE being on it is an excuse because her part is shite as well x)
Both of the Silk Sonic songs being so low is a travesty but I know BuzzJack is a weird outlier on the Internet being a bit lukewarm on them. 'Off The Grid' and 'm y . l i f e' deserved better as well. Most of the rest of my faves are still in though. |

'No Competition' is pretty bad as well anyway so fine with that being last place instead. x |
