The pink vinyl is down to £14.35 on Amazon. Are any variants actually rare?

They seem to be finally trying to sell through on different variants.

Is this a safe space to admit that I've listened to this album considerably less times than either Golden or Disco? Not in the sense that it's newer and has therefore had less time to accumulate plays, but that I've hardly been playing it, whereas Golden & Disco stuck with me for a long while after their releases.
I like Tension, but for some reason I haven't felt like going back to it repeatedly like I usually do with Kylie albums. It's like I felt satiated after a few plays and then moved on to other music without really craving to return. I'll endeavour to revisit it asap though, and see whether it can become an album I have in regular rotation. It just struck me today that I've not actually listened to it for a long time... I checked, and most of the album tracks have been untouched by me since October. I've still listened to the singles every now and then. |

I think the issue with this album is that, unlike Aphrodite, Fever, Golden and Disco, this isn’t a cohesive body of work in one particular genre. It’s very experimental Kylie but not in necessarily a good way like X was. Hands, Tension (song), 10 Out of 10 are experimental Kylie but they don’t really “work.” Padam really was a flash in the pan.

Have to say I am still playing Tension every single day! No skips! My favourite album of Kylie’s in 15 years. I think it’s doing fine given market condition and will go Gold over the coming weeks.

I disagree, I think it all fits together really well and for me works really well as a full listen. X was experimental in parts but it completly lacked cohesiveness for me, half of the album is excellent and the other half is dull due to them picking the wrong songs, it had the potential to be an excellent album but as it is there are a good few skip songs. A hit the size of padam padam was of course a one off type wonder for an artist such as Kylie as getting a hit that size can be hard for even more current artists than kylie but tension can't be overlooked either as it gave kylie another top 20 single that will go gold and pre padam padam that's something we wished for, for a long time. The only issue I have with Tension is I feel it was sidelined for Las Vegas which is a big shame as I think if kylie was more available the album would have done better. But gold selling number 1 albums is kinda her thing now so it's almost there which I'm happy wuth. |

I listened to ‘Tension’ a LOT and prefer it to ‘DISCO’ as a body of work. ‘Tension’ the single is defo is one of the best Kylie songs ever for me.
I think what spoiled it for me a bit though is the amount of 80s-leaning songs out there. The sound should have been much more ‘Padam’-centred than it turned out to be. And it seems like ‘Padam’, ‘Tension’ and ‘10/10’ would sit much better in a future apparently “full dance” album. And ‘Padam Padam’ aside, the streams for ‘Disco’ tracks seem to hold up better than for ‘Tension’ too. |

It feels odd that Disco tracks are outperforming Tension tracks when the performances of the singles from both albums are world's apart.
It does highlight that successful singles don't lead to increased interest in albums such hits are housed on. Will the day come when recording albums becomes a thing of the past and artists will just release a few songs through each era they are active. |

It probably also has to do with the lack of promotion Tension has had here compared to Disco. Her focus on America this era is still pretty baffling to me

It is baffling but i think its something kylie wanted personally for her own goals rather than anything else but given the choice id personally have prefered a much bigger UK focus for Tension,.

Overall, I prefer disco to tension but tension is still a really solid album apart from 2 tracks which I’ve never liked.

For me DISCO is so much better than this album, Golden too. I was disappointed with Tension and it hasnt changed over the months. Also this era has been super underwhelming, i'm glad she got a much deserved top10 hit with it though, but still...

Well she won a Grammy over there too a Tension track
+ was over there for her Residency and that promotion, + linked in with her Kylie Wine brand etc. Now she is in the Time 100 so it wasn't time wasted. Lets hope if the residency does end for now as planned in May that she promotes the reissue in Europe etc |

I prefer Disco as a whole album for sure. Golden perhaps not but totally see it’s a more cohesive album.
Think the vinyl production demands had a negative effect on deadlines…I don’t understand why it was detrimental to Tension rather than Disco but Tension was finished way before the release date so they went with the no theme angle. Clearly they had an 80s theme but they ran out of time and then just combined those tracks with the dance tracks. It’s a big shame Things We Do For Love is not going to have its moment as it’s been completely eclipsed by Padam. I do think if they reissue Tension with 5 new tracks then it’ll weirdly end up being the hit album it should always have been. |

I like Disco but it hasn't aged particularly well for me, the production on it could be a lot better and some of it is quite homogeneous.
Tension is still giving me everything I need, it's a solid collection of songs that doesn't quite feel as all over the place as X did... although I agree it's a shame the era has been effectively sidelined for this Vegas shit. I would perhaps like her to lean further into the harder dance/electro sound for a whole album next time, and I feel like it could be heading that way. |

Totally this, I really like ‘Disco’ and it was what we needed during lockdown however it already feels quite dated, especially being followed by ‘Tension’ which sounds quite current in production etc., |

I’m honestly quite shocked all we’re seemingly getting from this era is 3 singles (2 videos). Hold On To Now’s release was so botched it hardly even counts as a single, the era was basically done the day the album was released. It’s really not like BMG to just release the album and move on, the Disco and Golden eras seemed to go on forever. I don’t know but she did very well to get a top 10 and a top 20 hit, would’ve been nice to see them try to keep the momentum up.
