RontBet is here with the following predictions:
Winner contenders Cor Lupus: U.S. Girls - So Typically Now (expecting this to landslide it - it's going to get votes from all over the place) Aeroche: SUB-X - Thank You Baby (but if it doesn't, Leww will capitalise - can the 90s dance lovers get this over the line) Also sounding big (top ten contenders - roughly in order of how high I expect them to be) Lookylion: Honey. - What Now (so ABBA, but so is République d'Áskorza, in a different way, so they could split the vote) Elëdan: COBRAH - BRAND NEW BITCH FARC: Juicy Romance - Hummer République d'Áskorza: Erika Vikman - Kateus Hendinia: Lola Indigo & Maria Becerra - DISCOTEKA (going to do well for a host entry!) Altyr Muunilinst: ALMA - Summer Really Hurt Us (sounds bigger than the last ALMA song) Kathaldazia: Lolahol - Lock&Key St. Burbia: NEVE - Modern Romance (feels like Dua does Teenage Dream, on paper should maybe be bigger than this prediction then) Zanmatony: DJ Reiz - Dance Machine 96 Danæviia: altrice - places faces Summericia: Sean Tyas - The World (Darren Porter Remix) (feat. Lo-Fi Sugar) (the trance fans will be out in force for this one) Fljótavík: yunè pinku - DC Rot Jupiterdonia: Tom Ferry & Kiesza - I Think That I Like You East Rukahavian: LP Giobbi - Forever And A Day (feat. Caroline Byrne) Hushkanukia: Sweet California - Whisper (could get the silent pop vote!) Also wouldn't be surprised if these darkhorse Oslol: Kelli-Leigh - Back (could also do well on the pop vote) Cumulonimbia: Nakhane - Tell Me Your Politik (feat. Moonchild Sanelly & Nile Rodgers) POPHub: MOTHERMARY - Pray (Tensnake Remix) Yehesi: Gia Woods - Lesbionic Persephonia: Hazel English - Hamilton Kluminican Republic: Yseult - Corps (BJSC's ballad fans need to show themselves, hopefully they will) Jadakissnia: She Pleasures Herself - Trust Suedeonia: Kursaal Flyers - Little Does She Know (long shot, but what a great retro entry) |

I've been assuming that Aeroche are going to win this one by quite a margin but I can see why people are suggesting Cor Lupus would have broad appeal

I think it’s bc Thank You Baby has all the same elements that helped Joy win two contests ago
Then again pre-contest I thought Beaverdonia would win for those same reasons… clown makeup stays on |

These big 90s house sounding songs are reliably bankable top 10s usually, but them winning is actually quite rare. Thank You Baby does sound bigger than most, granted, with that mammoth vocal and sample, but I don't see it winning by a large margin if it does. *gets 400 points now*

I agree that U.S. Girls and SUB-X seem comfortably like the obvious big hits, though I'm not personally that keen on either of them so I'll be hoping for someone to dark horse.

I do like "So Typically Now" but I don't think it has that sort of massive winner sound, it just sounds like the kind of thing that would probably get points from across the board - a sort of dichotomy between sound and result I think. Won't deny that it's a locked on Top 5 though! But I wouldn't be surprised at something like Lookylion taking it either.

I think I'm massively underrating Kingdom of Horanius!
It gives me the same energy as Robbie's cover of Freedom, I didn't expect that to be a recipe for BJSC success but it's undeniably catchy and clearly a proven hit in The Netherlands, so I guess I can see it. |

Personally I don't see Cor Lupus or Aeroche at all. The latter seems like it'll get its niche well but outside of that, could easily finish midtable just as easily as top 3. And U.S Girls, can't see it missing top 10 but if it's to be a winner, should well be in range of someone overhauling it and that's more likely than not.
Áskorza, Eledan and FARC all seem more like potential winners to me. Altyr also could really ace the pop bloc very well. also my dark horse calls are Kathaldazia and Persephonia |

Yeah I genuinely think I’m overhyped but what else is new these days 🤷♂️ The hype around U.S. Girls is just reminding me of Eline Noelia and that missed out so I wouldn’t be surprised if history repeats itself
I did think Kingdom Of Horanius gave me Ten Tonnes vibes and that did very well pre-deduction |

Yeah I genuinely think I’m overhyped but what else is new these days 🤷♂️ The hype around U.S. Girls is just reminding me of Eline Noelia and that missed out so I wouldn’t be surprised if history repeats itself I did think Kingdom Of Horanius gave me Ten Tonnes vibes and that did very well pre-deduction I think this song would be receving the same level of hype for anybody, considering its proven success on PJSC (which admittedly isn't always replicated here, but is generally a good barometer), it's appearance in the charts of loads of BJSC participants (which is surely a positive sign it's going to do big things unless people don't vote by their tastes). For sure though, Eliza Rose and Eline Noelia both felt like locked on winners too and came 3rd, so you can never quite predict how people will vote, or how highly they will point songs. With Aeroche, for sure I wouldn't be in any way surprised if it won, but I often find myself disappointed in the surpisingly low finishes that some 90s house style bangers get in BJSC. So again, 10th also wouldn't be a major shock to me. Áskorza could indeed outpace Lookylion in the battle of the ABBA type songs, depends if people are looking more for the 'Party ABBA' sound or the 'melancholy ABBA' sound of What Now. But it's certainly a good call for a dark horse winner I'd say. Not quite sure Eledan or FARC will have the legs to go all the way, but clearly both are big top five contenders. FARC sounds the slightly more crossover one of the two so could do it! Altyr certainly has the air of the sort of pop song (often sent...by Altyr) that can be unfancied and come out of nowhere to snatch a close surprise win. Will be pretty exciting I guess, more open than I'd have maybe expected although I'll stick - for now - to a Cor Lupus win prediction but I'm a little less confident now. |

Whilst I appreciate the sentiment, Zanmatony really shouldn’t be in the mix at the top half. I appreciate it’s different for us, very out there, and quite contrasting to other entries this month, but when I found it and chose it I wouldn’t have called it anything other than a marginal qualification, and in my honest opinion, I’ve sent better dance tracks in the past which were more deserving.

The gag it will be when Sovarasma finishes in the bottom 5 when they saved the entry that they really like until the right moment!
