UK Chart Run: 62-37-18-13-5-2-1-1-2-2-3-8-12-19-26-39-55-64-70 (19 weeks)

Next to fall is Jamaican reggae superstar Shaggy with his debut hit single Oh Carolina, a reworking of a ska song from the 1950s by a trio called the Folkes Brothers. Certainly, of his four UK #1s this one is the least remembered and clearly is not too popular on here either. Aside, when are we getting that Shaggy Forum - it received enough votes to officially pass the motion!

Round 3 now, let's keep this moving.

I'm still voting Blobby but ngl I'd laugh if this pulled a Teenage Dirtbag and kept on surviving...

Probably an unpopular opinion but i'm not massive on the Meat Loaf song so voting for that.

(Also Blobby's survival is iconic ngl laugh.gif )

I keep for voting for Blobby ofc but I was just about to consider voting for that other Xmas atrocity in 1993. Only it's not there. Babe was Take That's godawful Xmas chart-topper. I demand a recount as that would have gone out first! laugh.gif (Can we just pretend it was in the vote and put it last?) teresa.gif

I voted with the majority for the first two rounds, now back to my usual contrarianism as I'm going to Ace Of Base who I expect will last a bit longer. (I would rank Blobby 6th also ahead of UB40 lol)

Wonder who the one other person who voted for AOB was ~

I do like a good few Ace of Base songs but I always felt they had many greater songs than all that she wants which was their biggest hit.

I've been listening to some other Ace of Base songs lately (and the one that appeared in the pop contest obviously) and wouldn't have thought they were the same band releasing songs like 'Life Is A Flower'. A slight change really.

At least Blobby is getting the shove this time round.
