After finishing 20th in the Eurovision Song Contest in May, 22-year-old Armenian singer-songwriter Rosa Linn has dominated the worldwide charts with her mega TikTok hit “Snap” and signed to Columbia Records. Yesterday she was announced as support for Ed Sheeran’s Mathematics tour in North America. Now Rosa Linn has announced she’s releasing her next song “Would Do It Again” which will be released this month (date TBA). Here is a snippet and her announcement with the song at the end. Intrigued to hear this. It's still crazy how big Snap has become globally, I don't really get how a song that has clearly resonated with so many people got so few televotes at Eurovision. Surely the audience could have seen whatever it was they loved about it at the time?

The consensus after the final but before it went viral was it was a middle-of-the-road song that was a safe qualifier but finishing 20th wasn't unexpected in a line-up stacked against her. It was the faster version of the song that trended on TikTok with over 1MIL uses compared to the original at 110K but the original was pushed on worldwide radio by her new record label. I like the song but it is what it is and happy for Rosa Linn's success now. (it's slightly annoying that "Arcade" is a winning Eurovision entry that many will forever know as a TikTok song) |

But as a studio version it's a brilliant pop song. |

Makes me wonder if any Eurovision/national final songs next year will actually be 'sped-up' on stage to try and appeal to the TikTok audience. Easier with the recently implemeneted backing rule vocal I guess, although not so much for the singer who has to keep up with the track and sing in a higher pitch.
I remember a sped up version of Estonia's 2011 entry Rockefeller Street also went viral online and probably would have charted too if TikTok was a thing a few years earlier. |

Jordan Clarke’s Freaks trended on TikTok in 2019 and I would have said the UK would have ended last if it was chosen in the National Final but they did anyway. SNAP has the “snapping 1, 2” hook and Arcade has the “Loving you is a losing game” hook (i guess). We will have to see what songs sound good sped-up

I was really disappointed with her eurovision result as I really liked the song and I was sure it would gave got much stronger jury support than what it got. It's great the song took off for her in the end and hopefully the new single and get noticed. |

Rosa Linn’s new single is a duet with Duncan Laurence and I’m not sure that’s the best move.
After Eurovision his song went viral on TikTok but he’s had very little success since then. Arcade is known as a TikTok song. |

Their voices sound really similar I didn't realise it was 2 people singing when I first heard the clip. Them both singing "I would take all the pain all the bruises all the blame and repeat it until I go insane" is interesting.

I like the song for the first minute then the rest loses me with its clunky verses. Her fans love it though so good for them but I prefer SNAP. It’s been added to many New Music playlists on Spotify.
