Chart 9.12.22

RAYE gets her first #1 this week as 'Escapism.' rises to the top! It pushes last weeks #1 'Karma' to #2 after two weeks at the top. Fleetwood Mac claim 3 entries in the top 10 after the tragic passing of Christine McVie. The first of those is the iconic 'Everywhere' at #3.' Anti-Hero' is at #4 and 'Little Lies' is also at #5. Also in the top 10 is the very fitting 'Songbird' while 'You Make Loving Fun' charts further down. All incredible Fleetwood Mac songs led by Christine McVie, may she rest in peace.

Aside from that, there are climbs and re-entries for more Christmas Songs! 'Fairytale of New York' and 'Santa Tell Me' join Mariah, Wham! and Taylor in the top 20 while we have re-entries from christmas classics by Kelly Clarkson, Shakin' Stevens, and Mabel plus some new ones: Phoebe Bridgers' 'So Much Wine' is at #28, Dynasty co-stars Eliza Bennett (who had a hit with Hate To Love You) and Liz Gilles enter with their cover of 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas' at #39, Dermot Kennedy's cover of 'Driving Home For Christmas' is at #45 and Lauren Spencer-Smith's 'Single On The 25th' is at #48.

There are also new entries for Lewis Capaldi's 'Pointless' at #26 and HAIM's 'Hallelujah' at #50 after being mentioned in Stevie Nick's letter to Christine. Next week expect a biiiig new/re entry as Sabrina Carpenter releases the viral Christmas remix of her iconic hit Nonsense! Can it make the top 10 for the first time?
