As it's the start of a New Year, I thought I'd create a 2023 thread where all you gym and fitness freaks can discuss how you keep in shape and give each other diet and workout advice!

Do you prefer sports or running to keep yourselves in shape!?

From mid-January, I began to lose weight on a calorie deficit. I don't have a weight problem- my weight was in the upper limit of the norm, and I wanted to weigh a little in order to like myself more, and so that it would not harm my health. I made a calorie deficit (I eat 1600 daily) and the result is - I lost almost 8 lbs!
In addition to nutrition, I have adjusted my physical activity - I go to weight training at the gym twice a week and once a week I do cardio training - I usually run on a treadmill, but I think that soon it will be time to get my road bicycle and ride it.

My workouts in the gym are aimed at general strengthening of the body, because I have certain back problems. I hope I will soon become stronger and feel better!

p.s I do all my workouts under the guidance of a coach!

After a pretty tricky 24 months I’ve started walking regularly again. I’m not at the distance I was conversing in 2018/20 but I’m cover a lot more than I was in 2021/22.

Also started using dumbbells in an attempt to build a bit of strength there.
