Welcome to Week 1 of the best and worst poll in conjunction with the #2 listening sessions!
I have created the shortlists taking into account comments during the session. Vote for as many as you like and feel free to vote even if you haven't attended. We will crown the winners when the next poll goes live! |

I could vote for most of those from the best polls (this will get very hard come the 80s and 90s with some real all-time favourites), I'll limit it to 5 - Mantovani, Summer Place theme (some great instrumental discoveries today), Last Train to San Fernando (barnstomper *.*) and two I knew and love already - That's Amore and Hound Dog (Zambezi would've also got a point from me).
As for worst, David Whitfield as those vocal inflections were painful to listen to and Russ Hamilton as it was just so dull and cringe at the same time. I know Poppa Piccolino is objectively rubbish but I did find it irritatingly catchy at the least. |

Best: That's Amore, Heartbreak Hotel and Wake Up Little Susie, with Smile just missing out
I didn't think any were terrible, but had the All Star Hit Parade EP was all a bit odd so voted for that. |

Apologies again for not being able to make it in the end! However, I can vote as I know all of these - Percy Faith is my favourite and Russ Hamilton least favourite :')

For the worst, Poppa Piccolino and We Will Make Love. |

oops sorry I missed this!
There's only 2 10 out of 10's so i voted for them, and I dont know any of the worst, but as I had to endure David Whitfield growing up (dad loved him) and my brother still likes him, I'll opt for him |

Me providing the only votes for both Cyril Stapleton and Bill Hayes 'Hound Dog' is my actual fave but Cyril had my fave discovery so gave that a vote too, and iirc I voted for one other song but I've already forgotten which one it was, should have posted when I voted think it was 'Wake Up Little Susie', I did really like the Percy Faith song too though so a nice winner here (surprising that it's beaten the more well-known songs).
Only voted for Bill in the worst poll and no regrets, the cringe was real for that one. Russ Hamilton was my 2nd least favourite though. |
